TLC'S "DC CUPCAKES" RETURNS SWEETER THAN EVER FOR SEASON TWO

Premieres Friday, February 25 at 10/9c

Following its sweet success in season one, TLC is serving up another twelve episodes of DC CUPCAKES, the hit series following sisters and business partners Sophie LaMontagne and Katherine Kallinis and the colorful crew at Georgetown Cupcake. Batter will splatter and icing will fly as each half-hour goes behind-the-scenes to capture the trials and tribulations of running a bustling family business. DC CUPCAKES will air Fridays at 10 PM (ET/PT) with back-to-back episodes beginning February 25.

This season promises more delicious drama. Armed with their grandmother's recipes and "Mommy" by their side, Sophie and Katherine rise to every challenge including baking 10,000 cupcakes to be shipped to Afghanistan for our troops, creating a giant pink bra out of cupcakes for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, catering a cupcake birthday party for two gorillas at the zoo and making a couture wedding dress out of cupcakes for DC Fashion Week.

TLC.com is adding delicious new content to the series fan site (tlc.com/dccupcakes). Online, viewers can tour the cupcakery to see where the magic happens. Meet the faces behind the scenes at Georgetown Cupcake and keep up with the sisters in their all-new blog. Get the latest photos of their impressive cupcake creations, along with baking recipes and decorating tips. Fans can also connect on the show's new Facebook fan site facebook.com/dccupcakes and on twitter @TLC for discussions and promotions.

The first season of DC CUPCAKES is available for pre-order now and ships on February 8. An exclusive selection of TLC-branded DC Cupcakes available now for purchase at www.TLCStore.com.

About Georgetown Cupcake

After risking their life savings and trading their careers in fashion and venture capital to pursue their passion for baking, Sophie and Katherine set out to follow their lifelong dream of opening a bakery. Armed with their grandmother's recipes and the support of their family, the sisters opened Georgetown Cupcake on Valentine's Day 2008. To their surprise, the shop became an overnight sensation and now has a cult-following of locals, tourists and celebrities, selling as many as 10,000 cupcakes a day.
