NBC UNIVERSAL AND THE JOHNSON SMITH COMPANY TO PUBLISH A TWO-PAGE SPREAD OF PRODUCTS FROM THE NBC COMEDY, "OUTSOURCED"

The "Things You Never Knew Existed" Catalog Hits Homes Beginning February 14th, 2011

"Outsourced" airs Thursdays on NBC at 10:30 PM ET

Los Angeles, CA - February 8, 2011 - NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group and The Johnson Smith Company, announced today that the February issue of Johnson Smith's "Things You Never Knew Existed" catalog will feature a two-page spread comprised of hilarious items that are inspired by the popular NBC show, "Outsourced." Arriving in homes the week of February 14th and available online at THINGSYOUNEVERKNEW.com beginning February 10th, fans can browse these fun novelty items and literally own a piece of the show, with items that include the "World's Largest Briefs" and a "Farting Fanny Bank." JTMG is the agency representative for NBC programming.

Much like "Mid America Novelties," the show's fictitious catalog that is brimming with tongue-and-cheek items, Johnson Smith's "Things You Never Knew Existed" catalog prides itself on an established tradition (since 1914) of offering unique novelty items that play into the humor and imagination of its customers. The "Outsourced" themed items will be available online through May.

"It's so much fun to join forces with The Johnson Smith Company, to offer fun and edgy products that are inspired by 'Outsourced' within its catalog," said Kim Niemi, Senior Vice President, NBC Universal Television Consumer Products Group. "In an act of life imitating art, fans can spread the humor of 'Outsourced' through the purchase of these highly entertaining novelty items."

"Partnering with 'Outsourced' is right up our alley," said Kim Boyd, Vice President of Marketing, The Johnson Smith Company. "We're all about getting a reaction and generating a belly laugh. That show makes us laugh out loud, and so do our products! It's a match made in heaven."

About Outsourced

NBC's workplace comedy "Outsourced" centers around a catalog-based company, Mid America Novelties, that sells American novelty goods, including whoopee cushions, foam fingers and wallets made of bacon, and whose call center has suddenly been outsourced to India. The series stars Ben Rappaport as "Todd Dempsy," the Mid America Novelties' manager who finds himself transplanted to India and is slowly embracing his new home and culture. From Universal Media Studios, "Outsourced" is executive produced by showrunner Robert Borden ("The Drew Carey Show," "George Lopez") and director Ken Kwapis ("He's Just Not That Into You," "The Office"), who developed the project through his company, In Cahoots. Victor Nelli, Jr. ("Ugly Betty"), Tom Gorai ("Outsourced" theatrical release) and David Skinner ("Outsourced" theatrical release) also serve as executive producers, and Alex Beattie serves as co-executive producer.
