LOS ANGELES, April 2, 2011 -- Mega-stars including Johnny Depp, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, The Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Jennette McCurdy, Eddie Murphy and Shaquille O'Neal reigned as this year's favorites, winning top honors at Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards live telecast, Saturday, April 2, 8-9:30 p.m. (ET/tape delayed for West Coast). Hosted by actor/comedian Jack Black and broadcast from the Galen Center at USC in Los Angeles, kids' top choices in television, movies, music and sports were revealed via slime slushie, cheerleader and a bear on a unicycle. Black proved that nothing was going to get in the way of his arriving at the venue - especially not a long limo line - by making a grand entrance in the Kids' Choice monster truck. With the help of a dancing flash mob along the orange carpet, he kicked off the slime-fest with a rockin' rendition of The Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling." The KCA and Grammy Award-winning chart toppers then took center stage with a medley of hit songs "Just Can't Get Enough" and "The Time" featuring Black, the honorary Pea.

After a surprise appearance during Big Time Rush's performance, Snoop Dogg was officially welcomed to the Nickelodeon family with a slime bath courtesy of the group. Jim Carrey and host Black got into an epic slime battle royale; The Big Show helped set a slime record for the first-ever super cyclone monster truck jump into 7600 gallons of goop; Heidi Klum was doused in typical slime-tastic fashion and Jason Segel got a face of the green goo too. The audience also got in on the action as an orange hot air balloon, piloted by Carrey, dropped slime into the mosh pit and even though Britney Spears escaped being slimed, she was no match against Kung Fu Panda's Po and his bowl of noodles. In a special honor, Justin Timberlake accepted Nickelodeon's The Big Help Award for his ongoing charitable work as a philanthropist.

Kids paid tribute to their favorites by casting a record-breaking 200 million votes March 7-April 2 in 20 categories. Votes were cast via http://www.nick.com/kca11 as well as Nick's mobile website http://m.nick.com/kca11 and through a brand-new iPhone application. For the first time ever, KCA voting was extended to an iPad-optimized site, TeenNick.com and Nickelodeon's Facebook page, facebook.com/nickelodeon.

Orange blimps were presented to Johnny Depp for Favorite Movie Actor; Miley Cyrus for Favorite Movie Actress; The Karate Kid for Favorite Movie and Despicable Me for Favorite Animated Movie. Jackie Chan won top honors for Favorite Buttkicker and Eddie Murphy took home the blimp for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie for his role of Donkey in Shrek Forever After. In the television categories, Favorite TV Show went to iCarly; Favorite Reality Show to American Idol; Favorite Cartoon to SpongeBob SquarePants; Favorite TV Actor to Dylan Sprouse; Favorite TV Actress to Selena Gomez and Funniest TV Sidekick to Jennette McCurdy. In music, top honors went to for Katy Perry for Favorite Female Singer; The Black Eyed Peas for Favorite Music Group and Justin Bieber for Favorite Male Singer while his track "Baby," featuring Ludacris, won for Favorite Song. Most valuable players Shaquille O'Neal and Lindsey Vonn won for Favorite Male Athlete and Favorite Female Athlete, respectively. The Diary of Wimpy Kid series garnered Favorite Book and Just Dance 2 won Favorite Videogame. In a new special category this year, Josh Duhamel was immortalized into the Arm Fart Hall of Fame as voted by viewers during the live telecast.

Rosario Dawson presented former Kids' Choice Awards host and winner Justin Timberlake with Nickelodeon's The Big Help Award in recognition of his ongoing charitable work as a philanthropist with Shriners Hospitals for Children. The Big Help Award recognizes individuals who take actions to better the world and whose significant impact on their community has inspired kids to do the same.

Nickelodeon stars and music group Big Time Rush were joined onstage by surprise guest Snoop Dogg to perform their current single "Boyfriend," off their newly-certified Gold debut album BTR. One lucky winner from Nickelodeon's "Kids' Choice Big Time Sweepstakes" lived it up "big time" as she was escorted to the awards by Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan. Willow Smith made an aerial entrance as the mosh pit moved and grooved to her hit songs "21st Century Girl" and "Whip My Hair" and even KCA winner Eddie Murphy got in on the musical action as he led the audience in an impromptu "Happy Birthday" song to himself.

A true champion of the honored pastime, Josh Duhamel claimed his throne as King of the Arm Fart with a spectacular red-hot display, beating out Kevin James and Kaley Cuoco during a live vote via Nick.com and SMS text during the telecast. James demonstrated the fine art of the arm fart with his personal interpretation of Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5," while Cuoco demonstrated how the beauty of the arm fart is in the texture, using science to create the juiciest, sloppiest arm fart possible.

The star-studded telecast featured additional celebrity participants, including: Kim and Kourtney Kardashian, Taylor Momsen, Steven Tyler, Joe Jonas, Russell Brand, Jaden Smith, Sofia Vergara, Jane Lynch, Nick Cannon, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice, Rosario Dawson, Rico Rodriguez, Cory Monteith, Keke Palmer, Shaun White, Randy Jackson and many others.

Special programming began Friday night on Nickelodeon when Victorious cast members gave fans a sneak peek from Kids' Choice Awards rehearsals at the Galen Center at USC. For the first time ever, the hour-long Countdown to Kids' Choice pre-show captured all the action live on multiple platforms - Nick.com, Facebook, Android and iPhone smartphones and iPads - with key moments from the orange carpet also airing on Nickelodeon throughout the hour. Hosted by Jeff Sutphen (BrainSurge), Daniella Monet (Victorious), Noah Munck (iCarly) and TeenNick's Aaron Fresh, the Countdown to Kids' Choice pre-show also featured musical performances by Grammy Award-winning superstar group Train and KCA Favorite TV Actress nominee Victoria Justice (Victorious).

During Countdown to Kids' Choice, kids were able to participate in the experience with total access to the live event coverage. Exclusive Nick cameras offered multiple viewing angles and were featured alongside celebrity tweets, interactive polls, real-time updates and photos from the orange carpet and backstage. Fans at home were able to submit questions to the pre-show hosts and saw their poll results displayed on large screens on the orange carpet. Highlights from the live broadcast are available at http://www.nick.com/kca11.
