Taped in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles, the fast-paced and informative show covers all areas of sports from the popular to the obscure delivered with Macdonald's signature style, reminiscent of his hugely popular run as "Weekend Update" anchor on "SNL." The show will also feature field segments by Macdonald and the "Sports Show" team, including coverage of various sporting events from across the country. An upcoming episode will feature appearances by Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan from the Los Angeles Clippers.

A staple in the comedy world, Macdonald is best known for his offbeat delivery of the news as a "Weekend Update" anchor on "Saturday Night Live." Macdonald joined the cast of "SNL" in 1993 and remained on the show for five seasons where his impressions of Larry King, Burt Reynolds, David Letterman and Bob Dole, among others, are still talked about today. Prior to "SNL," the Quebec City native, who began his career as a stand-up comic, was a writer on the ABC hit series "Roseanne." After leaving "SNL," Macdonald renewed his ties with ABC and he created and starred in "The Norm Show" from 1999 - 2001.

Macdonald's film credits include co-writing and starring in "Dirty Work," voicing Lucky the dog in all three of the Eddie Murphy remakes of "Doctor Dolittle," as well as appearing in "Billy Madison," "The People vs. Larry Flynt," "Man on the Moon" and "Screwed," among others. Macdonald's history with COMEDY CENTRAL dates back to 2006 with the release of his comedy album, "Ridiculous." In 2008, Macdonald made an epic and unforgettable appearance on the "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of Bob Saget."

Currently, Macdonald is a commentator on the seventh season of "High Stakes Poker" on GSN. In addition, his original one-hour special, "Norm Macdonald: Me Doing Standup" premiered on COMEDY CENTRAL on March 26.

"Sports Show with Norm Macdonald" is produced by Jackhole Industries in association with Norm Macdonald Productions. Macdonald, Mike Gibbons, Marc Gurvitz, Lori Jo Hoekstra and Daniel Kellison are the executive producers. Jim Sharp, Gary Mann and Monika Zielinska are the executives in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.
