THE BIG C (Showtime) - Boyd Holbrook ("Milk") has landed a multi-episode arc on the show's forthcoming second season. He'll play a potential love interest for Gabourey Sidibe's character, however no other specifics were given. "The Big C" returns Monday, June 27 on the pay channel.
FRINGE (FOX) - Co-executive producers Monica Breen and Alison Schapker have inked a new two-year, seven-figure overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The pact will cover their duties on the show's fourth season as well as any future development. In addition, they've been hired to do a rewrite on "Zanbato," a feature in the works at Paramount from "Fringe" executive producer J.J. Abrams.
HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA (HBO) - Joe Pantoliano and Eriq La Salle are both set to recur on the show's upcoming second season. Pantoliano will play Felix Di Florio, "Lulu's (Nicole Laliberte) intimidating and protective father, a powerful and influential New York artist," with La Salle as Everton Thompson, "an educated Jamaican community activist who throws a wrench in the growth of Rene's (Luis Guzman) company." Production is underway on the show's sophomore run however no return date has been announced.
THUNDERBALLS (Spike TV) - Jay Hayden, Steve Monroe and Ethan Embry are set to topline the comedy pilot, about three life-long friends who comprise a beer league bowling team - the "Thunderballs" - and their efforts to balance their battle for supremacy at the lanes with their crazy personal and family lives. Jim and Steve Armogida penned the half-hour while Andy Tenant is on board to direct. Walt Becker, via his The Walt Becker Co., also serves as an executive producer alongside the Armogidas. Production is expected to begin May 7 in Spokane, Washington.
WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY (Hallmark) - Newcomer Dan Amboyer has been tapped as the cable channel's Prince William in the telefilm, a biopic of the glamorous future royal couple. Alice St. Clair co-stars as Kate Middleton with Jane Alexander as Queen Elizabeth. Production is set to begin next month in Bucharest for an August 13 premiere. Linda Yellen ("The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana") penned the script and is executive producing.
