Santa Monica, CA (April 20, 2011) - MTV's "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" (ABDC) features The Black Eyed Peas as the "Superstar of the Week," on Thursday, April 21 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. This week, eight crews will take the stage, infusing their talent and choreography skills into The Black Eyed Peas' chart-topping hits, including "I Got A Feeling," "My Humps," "The Time (Dirty Bit)," "Boom Boom Pow," "Meet Me Halfway," "Just Can't Get Enough," "Imma Be" and new single "Don't Stop the Party."
For the second week in a row, "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" was the number one cable series on Thursday night among P12-34 and delivered 2.4 million total viewers.
Season six of "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" is the "Season of the Superstars" and, for the first time ever, each episode is themed to a popular celebrity artist. Ten new dance crews are taking the stage this season to create dances to master mixes of the artist of the week, incorporating all aspects of the artist's style - from wardrobe, inspiration and emotion to groundbreaking choreography and skills. Special guest appearances include Ke$ha, The Black Eyed Peas, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. Themed episodes will be inspired by the hottest names in music including Rihanna, Lil Wayne and more!
"America's Best Dance Crew" is hosted by Mario Lopez and shot on location in Los Angeles as dance crews perform their hottest moves for dance supremacy and a $100,000 cash prize. Every performance-themed episode gives insight into the crews' emotion, spirit and inspiration as they step up to the challenge and show off their groundbreaking choreography and skills. Viewers from around the country choose their favorite crews via text messaging, phone and online voting. The two crews with the least number of votes will be up for elimination with judges making the final call on which crew will be sent home. One crew will be eliminated each week, ultimately revealing the nation's best dance crew.
