"TEEN CHOICE 2011" TO AIR SUNDAY, AUGUST 7, LIVE ON FOX

TEEN CHOICE 2011, the annual special that celebrates the year's hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports, comedy, fashion and the web will air live Sunday, Aug. 7 (8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

"I am thrilled to have TEEN CHOICE 2011 air live once again on FOX," said executive producer Bob Bain. "Since news travels fast across social media and the Internet, this allows us to deliver all the excitement and surprises in real time to teens across America."

The coolest stars, best films and most-loved TV shows of 2010-2011 will receive coveted Teen Choice Surfboard awards in categories such as Choice Hottie, Choice TV Villain, Choice Movie Liplock, Choice Red Carpet Icon, Choice Twit, Choice Music Single, Choice Athlete, Choice Comedian and Choice Web Star. Host(s), performers and presenters, as well as the first round of nominees that teens can vote for, will be announced soon.

For 13 years, the special has presented performances and appearances by some of pop music's hottest stars. Hosted by Katy Perry and the guys of GLEE - Chris Colfer, Kevin McHale, Cory Monteith and Mark Salling - TEEN CHOICE 2010 featured performances by Perry, Jason DeRulo and Travie McCoy with Bruno Mars and appearances by David Archuleta, Kristen Bell, John Cena, Miranda Cosgrove, Cat Deeley, Ellen DeGeneres, Zac Efron, Ashley Greene, Josh Hutcherson, Victoria Justice, Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Taylor Lautner, Zachary Levi, Jane Lynch, Leighton Meester, Keke Palmer, Jim Parsons, Robert Pattinson, Ryan Sheckler, Yvonne Strahovski, Channing Tatum and Shailene Woodley.

TEEN CHOICE 2011 is executive-produced by Bob Bain ("Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards") and Michael Burg. Paul Flattery serves as producer, Kelly Brock is co-producer and Greg Sills serves as supervising producer.
