AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Evan Peters and newcomer Taissa Farmiga, the kid sister of fellow actress Vera, have both joined the cast of the drama pilot. She'll play the troubled daughter of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott's characters while Peters is set as Tate, a patient of McDermott's shrink character who is described as "Charles Manson dangerous." Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk are behind the 20th Century Fox Television-based hour, which also stars Jessica Lange and Denis O'Hare.
GONE (Lifetime) - The Molly Parker-led telefilm, about a hospital nurse who must fight against a group of kidnappers holding her daughter hostage until she kills a patient being held under police protective custody, has been slated to premiere Monday, June 27 at 8:00/7:00c. Lochlyn Munro co-stars. The news marks Lifetime's third original movie set for next month, the other's being "Last Man Standing" (Monday, June 6) and "Nora Roberts' Carnal Innocence" (Monday, June 13).
HOMELAND (Showtime) - Director Michael Cuesta has signed on as an executive producer of the upcoming drama, "a psychological thriller that tells the story of Carrie Anderson (Claire Danes), a CIA officer battling her own demons, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to the rescue of Scott Brody (Damian Lewis) a U.S. soldier who had been missing and presumed deal for nine years, was a setup and may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil." Cuesta helmed the pilot and will continue as in-house director. Howard Gordon, Gideon Raff, Alex Gansa, Avi Nir and Ron Telem also serve as executive producers.
LOVE HANDLES (Lifetime) - The Sally Ann Salsano-produced reality series is set to roll out on Tuesday, May 31 at 10:00/9:00c. Said hour, announced at the network's upfront earlier this week, follows "a dual transformation of overweight couples as they attempt to save their lives and relationships by confronting what lies at the core of the emotional, dietary and physical issues deeply affecting their well-being." Salsano and Joel Zimmer are the executive producers.
