Al Madrigal Joins as Contributor on Comedy Central's(R) "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" With His First Appearance Tonight at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT

NEW YORK, May 17, 2011 -- Al Madrigal has been tapped by the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" to join "The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever!" Madrigal's first segment as a contributor is scheduled to air tonight, May 17 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT when he will address the topic of immigration with Jon Stewart in the studio.

The New York Times calls Madrigal's comedy "dynamic" and HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen named him "Best Stand-Up Comedian." His unique, spontaneous and fast-paced lyrical, story-telling style has made him a regular on television with numerous appearances on COMEDY CENTRAL including his own half-hour stand-up special, "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents: Al Madrigal," "John Oliver's New York Stand-up Show" and "Pretend Time with Nick Swardson." Madrigal's network television credits include CBS's "Welcome to the Captain" with Jeffrey Tambor and "Gary Unmarried."
