RYAN SHARKEY ELEVATED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PROGRAM ACQUISITIONS & ADMINISTRATION FOR USA NETWORK, SLEUTH AND UNIVERSAL HD

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - May X, 2011 - Ryan Sharkey has been promoted to senior vice president, program acquisitions & administration, for USA Network, Sleuth and Universal HD, it was announced today by Jane Blaney, executive vice president, programming, acquisitions & scheduling, to whom he reports. Sharkey is based in NY.

"Ryan's professionalism and keen ability to identify new properties that further strengthen the network's brand have made him an invaluable member of our team," Blaney remarked. "He's greatly contributed to our success and this promotion is well-deserved."

Formerly vice president, program acquisitions & administration, Sharkey will continue to oversee program acquisitions including series and theatrical films. He also manages the program inventory for all three networks and acts as head coordinator/buyer for select NBCU Cable properties as well as the occasional broadcast network film on a deal-by-deal basis.

Since 2006, Sharkey has been instrumental in USA's aggressive buying of theatrical network windows of blockbuster films like "Fast & Furious," "Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," "National Treasure: Book of Secrets," "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," "The Bourne Ultimatum" and the James Bond classic library which includes the newest Bond titles "Casino Royale," "Quantum of Solace" and the yet to be titled Bond 23, tentatively set for November 2012.

Most recently, Sharkey participated in negotiations for ground-breaking deals for the off-network series "NCIS: Los Angeles," "CSI" and "Modern Family." He also played an instrumental role in acquiring product for the re-launch of Sleuth and Universal HD.

Sharkey joined USA in 2004 as director of programming finance. Previously, he was a financial analyst for CNBC, GE Capital, and Provident Bank as well as a corporate auditor for GE.

A native of Dayton, OH, Sharkey earned his Bachelors of Business Administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. He now resides in Manhasset, NY with his wife Colleen, their son Austin and newborn daughter Kate.
