DEBBIE REYNOLDS APPEARS IN AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF "HOLLYWOOD TREASURE" AIRING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15 AT 10 P.M. ET/PT ON SYFY

"This is part of history and it should be preserved and saved," says Ms. Reynolds of her massive collection, which includes Marilyn Monroe's subway-scene dress from The Seven Year Itch

NEW YORK - June 9, 2011 - Legendary movie star Debbie Reynolds appears in an all-new episode of Hollywood Treasure airing Wednesday, June 15 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Syfy. Ms. Reynolds pioneered movie prop and costume collecting nearly 50 years ago, amassing the largest private collection in the world. "Debbie Reynolds blazed the trail and got me interested in doing what I do today," said Joe Maddalena.

Ms. Reynolds's dream to open a museum and share Hollywood history with the public will not be realized so she has decided to put her entire collection up for auction, and has chosen Joe's company Profiles in History for the job. "The reason I decided on Profiles in History is because they have the right heart and love for these beautiful costumes and props," said Ms. Reynolds.

Joe takes stock of her massive inventory, which includes the original Arabian style Wizard of Oz ruby slippers, and Marilyn Monroe's iconic subway-scene dress from The Seven Year Itch, which Joe estimates to be valued in the millions.

"This is part of history and it should be preserved and saved," says Ms. Reynolds of her collection. "I am just grateful that we have this to present to the public."
