Exclusive: NBC Bumps "Friends With Benefits" to Fridays Starting August 5

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC has revised its launch date for "Friends With Benefits" as the comedy will now roll out on Friday, August 5 at 8:00/7:00c.

Back-to-back episodes will air each week through September 9.

Yesterday the Peacock told its affiliates it would debut the shelved comedy on Saturday, June 25 at 8:00/7:00c.

No reason was given for the change. Repeats of "Minute to Win It" will continue in the Saturday, 8:00/7:00c hour for the time being.

Ryan Hansen, Danneel Harris, Zach Cregger, Andre Holland and Jessica Lucas star in "Benefits," about a group of twenty-something singles as they navigate the difficult, and often confusing, world of dating. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber are the co-creators while Ira Ungerleider, David Dobkin, Jeff Kleeman and Brian Grazer are among the executive producers.
