Ovation to Air Three Seasons of the Popular Dance Competition, Leading Off with Season Six, Which Features Performances by Snoop Dogg, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige and Adam Lambert

Ovation to Include Original "Extras" Featuring Commentary from Dancers, Choreographers and Judges

June 29, 2011 --- Ovation, the only network devoted to arts culture, will air exclusive encore presentations of the popular dance competition series, So You Think You Can Dance, starting August 5th at 8 p.m.ET/PT. In addition, the network is producing original "extras" featuring the judges, dancers and choreographers as they reveal their favorite and most emotional moments from the show.

"This summer, not only are we giving dance fans a second chance to see one of TV's most exciting competition shows, we're providing exclusive 'extras' -- original content to accompany each and every episode. Viewers will get insight into incredible moments on the show from the people who were there as it happened," said Kris Slava, SVP, Programming, Ovation.

So You Think You Can Dance has been a hit with viewers since its debut on FOX in 2005 and has won five Emmy Awards(R) for Outstanding Choreography and a total of seven Emmys altogether.

Ovation has acquired seasons 6-8 of the show and will kick off with season six, airing weekly from Friday to Monday at 8p.m.ET/PT. Hosted by Cat Deeley, judges from season six include Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Adam Shankman and guest judges Debbie Allen, Lil' C and Tyce Diorio. Snoop Dogg, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, Mary J. Blige and Adam Lambert were among the musical performers from season six, which crowned Russell Ferguson the winner.

Along with the debut of the series, Ovation will produce a series of web videos that feature top celebrities from the series. These will be made available on http://www.ovationtv.com/dance and focus on dance tips for non-dancers. There will also be highlights videos with commentary from judges and participants, as well as live chat sessions with talent from that week's episode.

So You Think You Can Dance was created by Simon Fuller and Nigel Lythgoe and is produced by 19 Entertainment and dick clark productions, inc.
