Wilson Phillips Stage Their Comeback In A New Original Reality Show For TV Guide Network

The Wilson Phillips Project Follows Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips on Their Journey Back To Fame

LOS ANGELES (September 6, 2011) - One of the most successful all-girl groups in music history, Wilson Phillips, is back in the spotlight and will soon star in an original reality show for TV Guide Network. The new Wilson Phillips project will give fans an up-close and personal look at the band's members, sisters Carnie Wilson and Wendy Wilson, and best friend Chynna Phillips, as they stage their comeback. The singing trio made a splash this summer with a surprise cameo in the comedic blockbuster "Bridesmaids," and the band's members are already making TV headlines - Chynna will compete in the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars" and Carnie is a judge on the singing competition series "Karaoke Battle USA." With husbands and children in tow, the three women are willing to do what it takes to get back on top of the charts, a feat that challenges their friendship and sisterhood. A pilot episode will premiere on TV Guide Network later this year.

"Wilson Phillips is extremely excited to start a reality show following the reunion of the girls and what it's like 21 years later," said Carnie Wilson. "Between touring, recording a new CD and raising nine children, the show promises love, laughter and head bumping!"

"Our original programming is bringing fans closer to their favorite celebrities, and our new show with Wilson Phillips underscores this commitment," said Allen Shapiro, Chairman of TV Guide Network.

It's been 20 years since their anthem "Hold On" ruled the airways, but now Wilson Phillips is making a comeback. Daughters of famous musicians - The Beach Boys and The Mamas & The Papas - this Grammy(R)-nominated singing sensation rose to fame with their California looks and unique harmonies, but also garnered headlines with their personal lives. Since then, the women have had to juggle their singing careers, high-profile marriages and having children while at the same time dealing with tabloid scandals, family dramas and health issues. Their journey back to fame will be captured in the Wilson Phillips project.

The show will be produced by RelativityREAL with Jay Blumenfield and Tony Marsh serving as executive producers. Blumenfield and Marsh most recently produced "Gigolos," "Life On A Wire," "High School Musical: Get in the Picture" and "The Chelsea Handler Show." David Simone and Winston Simone of DSW Entertainment will also serve as executive producers.
