"Rock Center with Brian Williams" to Premiere this Season

September 12, 2011 - New York, NY - NBC News highly anticipated new primetime newsmagazine hour has been named. "Rock Center with Brian Williams" will premiere this season, in primetime. The weekly, hour-long live broadcast, led by "NBC Nightly News" anchor and managing editor Brian Williams, will feature Harry Smith, Kate Snow and other award-winning correspondents and anchors of NBC News. The announcement was made today by Steve Capus, President of NBC News.

"NBC News' pursuit of journalistic excellence begins everyday inside the hallways of our Rock Center headquarters," said Capus. "Like the iconic building itself, 'Rock Center with Brian Williams' is positioned to become a go-to destination; a weekly stop for viewers looking for a lively, informative and thought-provoking newsmagazine."

Drawing on the unparalleled strength of America's premier news organization, "Rock Center with Brian Williams" will be built around the week's biggest and most interesting events, meaningful and in-depth stories, and timely newsmaker interviews.
