Lionsgate's "Mad Men" Wins Fourth Consecutive Emmy(R) for Outstanding Drama Series Tying All-Time Record in the Category

SANTA MONICA, Calif., and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Sept. 19, 2011 -- With its fourth consecutive win for Outstanding Drama Series, LIONSGATE's(R) (NYSE: LGF) acclaimed AMC drama MAD MEN tied the all-time record for Emmy(R) wins in the category, joining an illustrious group of only three other shows in history that have achieved this milestone (Hill Street Blues, L.A Law, The West Wing).

"We are so proud of this historic win," said Kevin Beggs, President of Lionsgate Television Group. "It is a testament to the brilliance of Matt Weiner and the extraordinary work of the cast and production team that MAD MEN continues to build on its success, and we thank the TV Academy membership for this tremendous honor."

Lionsgate has now amassed a total of 98 Emmy nominations and 19 wins over the past 10 years, including 47 nominations in the past two years alone.

Set to return to AMC for season five in March 2012, MAD MEN is one of the most honored series in television history. In addition to this fourth Emmy(R) win, it is the only series that has earned three consecutive Golden Globes(R) for Best Drama. Additional honors include four AFI Awards, a Peabody Award, two SAG Awards, two Directors Guild Awards and four Writers Guild Awards, among many others. Set in New York in the 1960's, MAD MEN follows the lives of the ruthlessly competitive men and women of Madison Avenue advertising and stars an outstanding ensemble cast, including Golden Globe(R) winner Jon Hamm, January Jones, Elisabeth Moss, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, and John Slattery, and guest stars Robert Morse. Produced by Lionsgate, the series is created, written and executive produced by Matthew Weiner in association with Weiner Bros. Joining Weiner as executive producer is Scott Hornbacher.
