Emmy Award Winner Jeff Probst Returns as Host and Executive Producer

This Season's Survivor: South Pacific Ranks #2 Among All Reality Series in Adults 18-49

CBS announced today a February premiere date for the next SURVIVOR and ordered two more editions of the series for broadcast during the 2012-2013 season. The broadcasts next season will mark the 25th and 26th editions of television's longest-running hit reality competition series.

Emmy Award winner Jeff Probst will return as host and executive producer for all three upcoming cycles. Probst has hosted SURVIVOR since its inception in May 2000.

In its 23rd edition, SURVIVOR continues to be a strong ratings performer, currently ranking as the #2 reality series on television in adults 18-49. This fall's SURVIVOR: SOUTH PACIFIC is averaging 12.27 million viewers, 3.8/11 in adults 18-49 and 5.1/13 in adults 25-54.

The 24th edition of SURVIVOR premieres Wednesday, Feb. 15 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT).

The innovative reality series won an Emmy Award in 2001 in the category of "Outstanding Non-Fiction Program" (Special Class). Host Jeff Probst is a four-time Emmy Award winner in the category of "Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Series." SURVIVOR is produced by SEG, Inc. Mark Burnett, Jeff Probst and David Burris are executive producers.
