HUMP DAY GETS A WHOLE LOT FUNNIER WHEN E!'S HIT COMEDY SERIES "THE SOUP" HOSTED BY JOEL MCHALE DEBUTS ON ITS NEW NIGHT BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30 AT 10PM ET/PT

New Website, New Mobile App and New Surprise Celebrity Guests Kick-Off The Soup's Wednesday Night Premiere

Los Angeles, November 21, 2011 - Beginning November 30th at 10pm, E!'s celebrated comedy series "The Soup," hosted by Joel McHale, is moving to a new night to bring fans more of the sharp-witted humor, clever commentary and hilarious clips that audiences have grown to love. Additionally, to celebrate the series' new Wednesday night home, "The Soup" is launching a roster of new digital destinations, including an all-new website (thesouptv.com) and a new "The Soup" mobile app for iPhone and Android smartphones. "The Soup" will continue to serve a hearty helping of the same great television and pop culture moments, the same irresistible tongue-in-cheek humor and the same host-with-the-most (skinny ties) now on a new night, and now always available on your tablet or phone. You haven't really watched TV until you've watched "The Soup" every Wednesday at 10pm ET/PT starting November 30 as part of E!'s "Go Big and Stay Home!" week.

To celebrate E!'s new night of original programming, "The Soup" will launch a new standalone website (thesouptv.com) and a new mobile app for iPhone and Android smartphones on Wednesday, November 30th. And just like "The Soup" is no ordinary TV show, these will be anything-but-ordinary digital destinations dedicated to replicating the voice of the show with engaging exclusive content, social integration and fan interactivity. The new tablet friendly website will feature a video-centric homepage with additional sections featuring daily pop culture commentary from both "The Soup" writing staff and from around the web curated from user submissions, heavy social media integration with Facebook (www.facebook.com/thesoup) and Twitter (@TheSoup), and, available for the first time, the interactive "Hall of Fame" video section featuring the greatest moments in "The Soup" history. "The Soup" app, which will be available on iTunes and in the Android Market, will serve as the mobile extension of the series' on-air and online presences, packed with all of the fresh and exclusive digital content to keep fans connected to "The Soup" wherever they are. The site launch and the app's availability bow on November 30th to coincide with the show's new Wednesday night home.

Host Joel McHale, along with his army of minions including the bikini-wearing-bearded-man Mankini, Lou the Dog and Matt the intern, has become television's answer for dead-on commentary celebrating the week's most memorable moments in entertainment. "The Soup" covers every laughable TV moment on a weekly basis complete with McHale's trademark smart wit and take-no-prisoners humor. Surprise celebrity guests often brave the sarcasm infested green screen studio to join in on the fun, most recently including Eminem, Gabourey Sidibe and Demi Lovato. With unexpected guests popping up every week, "The Soup" really is the happiest meal of them all.

Join funnyman Joel McHale for more reality TV roasting when "The Soup" moves to Wednesday nights beginning November 30th at 10pm ET/PT only on E! Then, satisfy your cravings by downloading the brand-new "The Soup" app on iTunes or in the Android Market and visiting the new website thesouptv.com for more steamy helpings of your favorite show.
