E! PREMIERES LADY GAGA'S "MARRY THE NIGHT" MUSIC VIDEO EXCLUSIVELY IN A HALF-HOUR SPECIAL AIRING THURSDAY, DECEMBER 1ST

"E! News Special: Lady Gaga: Marry The Night" Features One-on-One Interview With The Superstar and The World Premiere of The 13 Minute Video

Los Angeles, CA - November 30, 2011 - Calling all Little Monsters! E! goes deep into the mind of Lady Gaga for a 30-minute special featuring an exclusive sit-down with this fascinating artist and the world premiere of her latest music video - a 13-minute story set to "Marry the Night." The smash single is the fifth off her album Born This Way and serves as an homage to her hometown, New York City, and her marriage to her work. Gaga previously stated via Twitter that this video will be her longest ever and the "beginning of the story I never told you..." The production is incredibly personal as it is an account of the worst day of Gaga's life as only this icon can tell it. Don't miss this intimate look at one of music's most intriguing artists when the "E! News Special: Lady Gaga: Marry The Night" airs Thursday, December 1st at 8:00pm ET/PT. Directly following the special, E! Online will be the exclusive place to see the video again in its entirety.

In the half-hour special leading up to the exclusive video premiere, Gaga sits with E!'s own Jason Kennedy and explains in great detail her inspiration for this latest project. As she often has in the past, the multi-platinum artist pulled from her own experiences to create this instant masterpiece, giving fans a rare piece of insight into her intriguing world. Gaga explains that this video is about one of the most painful moments of her life - when she had the taste of her dreams on her tongue and then had it taken away. For her, this piece is "so true to her life that it terrifies her."

While Gaga has always been the driving force behind all of her projects, she takes Kennedy through the experience of solo directing this video for the first time, explaining how she had a very clear vision from start to finish and worked hard to make it not too beautiful. She called the video a twisted ballet where she was always a broken bird, but now this broken bird has been brought to the front of the class. Rich with Gaga's powerful choreography, fascinating costume choices and theatrical flair, "Marry The Night" takes viewers on a thrilling journey through this artist's mysterious and beautiful life.

Lady Gaga came to prominence following the release of her debut studio album The Fame (2008), which included the hits "Just Dance," "Poker Face," and "Bad Romance" and sold over 15 million copies worldwide. She is well-recognized for her outré sense of style as a recording artist, in fashion, in performance and in her music videos. Her contributions to the music industry have garnered her numerous accolades including five Grammy Awards amongst twelve nominations, two Guinness World Records, a record setting thirteen MTV Video Music Award nominations and the estimated sale of 23 million albums and 64 million singles worldwide. Billboard named her both the "2010 Artist of the Year" and the top selling artist of 2010, ranking her as the 73rd Artist of the 2000s decade. Her third studio album, Born This Way, broke the iTunes record for the fastest rise to the # 1 spot on release day. The singles from the album, including "Born This Way," "Judas," "The Edge of Glory" and "You and I" have sold a combined total of more than 8 million copies in the US alone. Gaga was named Forbes' Most Powerful Woman in the World 2011 and was included in Time's annual "The 2010 Time 100" list of the most influential people in the world. With over 1.9 billion combined views of all her videos online, Lady Gaga has more than 45 million 'likes' on Facebook and is #1 on Twitter with 16 million followers. Lady Gaga is the only artist in the digital era to top the 5 million sales mark with her first two hits.

E!'s tremendous, worldwide reach across all new media platforms makes the network the ideal forum for Gaga to reveal more of her story to her fans. Don't miss this up-close-and-personal look at Lady Gaga and the exclusive premiere of her latest music video for "Marry The Night" when "E! News Special: Lady Gaga: Marry The Night" premieres Thursday, December 1st at 8:00pm ET/PT only on E! Log on to E! Online exclusively directly following the special to see the video again.
