IT'S A HIT - INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY GREENLIGHTS SECOND SEASON OF "NOTHING PERSONAL: MURDER FOR HIRE"

- Steve Schirripa Guides Audiences through the Serious Business of Professional Hitmen with Six New Episodes of NOTHING PERSONAL -

(Silver Spring, MD) - Investigation Discovery's hit series NOTHING PERSONAL: MURDER FOR HIRE highlights business disloyalties, romantic infidelities and stale friendships that converge around a trio of characters including a conniving "client," a professional murderer, and a victim who never saw it coming. True crime aficionado Steve Schirripa, whose character Bobby Baccalieri was famously whacked on The Sopranos, pulls back the veil of the underground business of murder for hire. After the success of the first season in the spring of 2011, Investigation Discovery has greenlit a six-part second season of NOTHING PERSONAL: MURDER FOR HIRE, which is slated to air in spring 2012.

"NOTHING PERSONAL and Steve Schirripa represent a perfect ID marriage of compelling stories and a charismatic host that leave audiences wanting more," said Henry Schleiff, president and general manager of Investigation Discovery. "Personally, I am excited to announce the greenlight for a second season of NOTHING PERSONAL, which established itself as one of ID's true 'hit' series in 2011."

Seamlessly woven into the presentation of each story covered in NOTHING PERSONAL: MURDER FOR HIRE, host Steve Schirripa's commentary exposes viewers to an insider's view of the business of crime. Why did the victims have contracts on their lives? Who wanted them dead? And how did the hit men carry out their gruesome assignments? ID's audiences meet the key players in each story and explore every side of the tale before learning how the relationships fatefully resulted in murder for hire.

NOTHING PERSONAL: MURDER FOR HIRE is a Cineflix (NP2) Inc. Production in association with Investigation Discovery and Canal D with Simon Lloyd and Steve Schirripa as executive producers. For Investigation Discovery, Ron Simon is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production and Henry Schleiff is president and general manager.
