BBC WORLDWIDE AMERICA AND HULU BRING THE AWARD-WINNING BRITISH PUPPET-BASED COMEDY SERIES "MONGRELS" TO U.S. AUDIENCES

Mongrels Premieres for the First Time in the US on Hulu and Hulu Plus

New York, NY December 12, 2011 - BBC Worldwide America, the commercial arm of the BBC, announced today that the first 2 seasons of the British Puppet-Based Comedy Series Mongrels is now available to US audiences exclusively through Hulu and Hulu Plus. Following the successful US debut of the hit Sci-fi series Misfits, BBC Worldwide America and Hulu have once again partnered to bring the best of British Comedy to the US digital marketplace.

"After the incredible success of Misfits with Hulu, we knew that Hulu is the absolute best partner to premiere Mongrels for an American audience. This series is a multi-layered, bold comedy with cutting-edge appeal- a perfect fit for Hulu's audience," said Beth Clearfield, SVP, Digital Distribution & Business Development, BBC Worldwide Americas'.

About Mongrels:

Enter the colorful, surprising and mischievous world of Mongrels, a world of rutting, mating rituals, territorial defiance, and survival of the fittest. This hilarious, fast-paced comedy is definitely not one for the kids, though adults may find it scarily familiar. Join Nelson the metrosexual fox, Destiny the pampered pooch, Marion the slow-brained former housecat, Kali the sarcastic pigeon, and Vince the most ferocious fox in town, as they negotiate life and love in the back alleys of the urban jungle... They may be furry, they may be feathered, they may be feral, but scratch their hairy surfaces and you'll find five mixed-up animal urban singles struggling with everyday emotional truths about life, love, sex, aspirations, and shattered dreams.

"A sweet heart beneath the dark humour... be careful who you watch it with" - Sunday Telegraph
