David Wolkis Named Vice President of Production for TNT and TBS Originals

Turner Entertainment Networks (TEN) has promoted David Wolkis to vice president of production for TNT and TBS Originals. In this role, Wolkis will continue to oversee production of original series, original movies and specials, including developing and executing production strategy, production schedules, budgets and relationships with Turner's studio partners and talent. Wolkis will also collaborate with ad sales on product integrations in TNT and TBS series. Wolkis is based in Los Angeles and reports to Mark Weissman, senior vice president of production for TNT and TBS.

Most recently, Wolkis served as director of production for TNT and TBS Originals. He has been involved in managing production on several prominent projects, including Franklin & Bash and the upcoming Dallas for TNT and CONAN for TBS. Wolkis also supervised production on four new original movies from the TNT Mystery Movie Night franchise: Scott Turow's Innocent; Good Morning, Killer; Silent Witness; and Deck the Halls.

"This is a much-deserved promotion for David," Weissman said. "He is very smart and has a great work ethic, strong analytical skills and sound judgment. In a short time, David has grown to become an essential member of our team."

Wolkis joined Turner in 2000 as an accounting assistant for TNT Originals. He was promoted to manager of accounting before adding TBS Originals to his duties. In 2008, he was named manager of production. He was later promoted to director. Wolkis, a native of Arizona, earned a degree in accounting and media arts from the University of Arizona.
