NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo to provide comprehensive coverage on air and online

Cross-platform programming includes on-the-ground reporting from an array of anchors and correspondents, live broadcasts, special reports, and an NBC network debate

NEW YORK - December 29, 2011 - The networks of NBCUniversal today announced comprehensive "Decision 2012" programming plans for events surrounding the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary. Top anchors and correspondents from NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC, and Telemundo will report from these key early states as the first Americans begin to cast their votes for a Republican presidential candidate.

* "Meet the Press with David Gregory" (9:00am ET) will broadcast from Des Moines on Sunday, January 1, 2012.

* "Today" (7:00am - 10:00am ET) will feature coverage from correspondents on the ground through Wednesday, January 4. Savannah Guthrie will report from Des Moines Tuesday, January 3 - Wednesday, January 4.

* "NBC Nightly News" (6:30pm ET) will feature coverage from correspondents on the ground leading up the caucus on Tuesday, January 3.

* Brian Williams will anchor NBC News Special Reports from New York to announce caucus results on Tuesday, January 3.

* Tom Brokaw, David Gregory, Chuck Todd, Andrea Mitchell, Peter Alexander, Ron Mott, Kelly O'Donnell, and campaign embeds Carrie Dann, Garrett Haake, Alex Moe, Jamie Novogrod, Andrew Rafferty, and Anthony Terrell will report from Iowa for the platforms of NBC News.

* MSNBC will provide comprehensive on-the-ground coverage beginning Thursday, December 29 and continuing through Wednesday, January 4.

* Chris Matthews will anchor "Hardball" (5:00pm and 7:00pm ET) from Des Moines starting Thursday, December 29 and continuing through Tuesday, January 3,

* Chuck Todd will anchor "The Daily Rundown" (9:00am ET) from Des Moines starting on Friday, December 30 and continuing through Tuesday, January 3.

* The NBC News Facebook Debate on "Meet the Press," in partnership with the New Hampshire Union Leader, will take place from 9:00am - 10:30am ET on Sunday, January 8 in Concord. The debate, moderated by David Gregory, will air live in its entirety in New Hampshire on NBC station WHDH, throughout New England on NECN, and nationally on MSNBC, and will stream live on Facebook.com and NBCPolitics.com as part of a unique user experience. The first 60 minutes will air nationally on the NBC network in the "Meet the Press" time slot, with the final 30 minutes offered as optional to affiliates.
