Adam Dolgins Named Senior Vice President of Alternative Original Programming for truTV

Adam Dolgins has been named senior vice president of original programming for truTV. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing the network's Original Programming Group, which handles truTV's alternative comedic programming, like the recent hit Impractical Jokers. Dolgins is based in New York and reports to Darren Campo, truTV's senior vice president of programming, production and development.

"Adam brings extensive creative experience to truTV as a producer of the kind of comedic reality shows that are increasingly important to truTV's amazing ratings momentum," said Campo.

Dolgins will be responsible for all aspects of new and current truTV programming that fits within the comedic or alternative reality genre. In addition to Impractical Jokers, Dolgins' team will oversee the upcoming original series Killer Karaoke, hosted by Steve-O. The team will also develop new truTV series that fit the genre, which is a central component of the network's original programming strategy this year.

Dolgins joins truTV from his own production company, Fractured Hip Productions, where he was a successful executive producer on multiple comedic reality shows. Most recently, he was the executive producer for four seasons of MTV's Silent Library, an irreverent game show with nearly 1.6 million Facebook fans. He also served as executive producer the MTV hidden-camera series Boiling Points, which was the highest-rated strip in the channel's history.

Dolgins' long list of credits includes CMT's Prankville, VH1's Sledgehammer and Smoking Gun TV for Adult Swim and Court TV (before it became truTV). Dolgins was also the creator and executive producer of VHI's long-running, critically acclaimed series Rock of Ages. In addition, he has produced pilots for Comedy Central, Discovery and IFC.

Tony Horn will continue to serve as senior vice president of truTV's Current Programming Group, reporting to Campo. Horn's team handles the more traditional reality series on truTV's programming slate, including the hits Hardcore Pawn and Lizard Lick Towing.

Dolgins' former company, Fractured Hip Productions, will continue to be run by partner Frank Gregory.
