Investigation Discovery's new series, MOTIVES & MURDERS, takes viewers into the minds of criminal investigators as they reveal the extraordinary lengths it required for them to capture notorious killers. Witness their challenges, setbacks, and dramatic revelations as they work to solve complex, non-traditional homicide cases, including a neighbor-on-neighbor poisoning solved through uncover police work and a body that was disposed of in a cement quarry. Packed with mystery, intrigue and suspense, this gripping one-hour series pays homage to the impressive work of the law enforcement officers who bring killers to justice. An eight-episode series, MOTIVES & MURDERS premieres Friday, April 6 at 10 PM E/P on Investigation Discovery.

Poisoned Heart premieres Friday, April 6 at 10 PM E/P Peggy Carr and two of her sons are rushed to a hospital with extreme pain and nausea. Investigators examine the case when the trio test positive for a rare and deadly poison. A detective goes undercover and finds shocking clues that tell a grisly tale. Location: Alturas, FL

Deadly Turn premieres Friday, April 13 at 10 PM E/P Orange County flight attendant Jane Carver is shot in the face in broad daylight. The case goes cold for months until a similar shooting occurs with the same M.O,, leading investigators to a startling link that points a gruesome tale of murder for hire. Location: Fountain Valley, CA

Railway Killer premieres Friday, April 20 at 10 PM E/P Jesse Howell is found murdered next to train tracks and his girlfriend, Wendy, is missing. Detectives launch a search for the killer and the missing girl, leading them deep into the underworld of freight train riders, and serial killers. Location: Woodstock, IL

Toxic Love premieres Friday, April 27 at 10 PM E/P A healthy Georgia police officer, Glenn Turner, dies after a case of the flu from what's found to be cardiac arrhythmia. His wife remarries a firefighter, Randy Thompson, who soon dies from the same illness. Detectives investigate the case and uncover a twisted tale of love, passion, and ultimate betrayal by a killer who almost gets away with it. Location: Cobb and Forsyth Counties, GA

Body in a Bag premieres Friday, May 4 at 10 PM E/P The body of Paul Campagna is discovered in an old cement quarry and has all the signs of a mob hit. What detectives unravel is far stranger: a twisted relationship between two brilliant men from wealthy families that ends in murder. Location: Niagara Falls

A Race Against Time premieres Friday, May 11 at 10 E/P A popular teenager, Evelyn LeBlanc, is found dead at a nearby school. With no leads, the case goes cold. Years later and hundreds of miles away, another woman is viciously stabbed. A crucial piece of evidence links the two assaults and finally brings closure to the case. Location: San Leandro, CA

Cabbie Killer premieres Friday, May 18 at 10 PM E/P The brutal murder of two taxi drivers, Eleazar Hinojosa and John Parrish, in two days has cabbies fearing for their lives. Several eye witnesses identify a suspect, but the lead goes cold. Years later, a critical piece of evidence breaks the case wide open. Location: Austin, TX

Deadly Snow premieres Friday, May 25 at 10 PM E/P Months from their 25th wedding anniversary, Ian and Nancy Blackburn found brutally murdered inside their car. Authorities believe it's a random killing, until an investigator makes a daring move that launches a nationwide hunt for a serial killer. Location: Toronto, Ontario
