New York, NY (April 19, 2012) -- For the first time ever, MTV's Emmy Award winning series "True Life" will premiere at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival. The extended version of the original documentary - which aired on MTV this past January - will provide an in depth look at the pure spirit of heart, mind, and body as manifested in a team of young wrestlers at Lake Stevens High School in Lake Stevens, Washington. The extremely demanding requirements of student wrestling cause the young teammates to find that they must persevere beyond their limits as they face pressure to overcome both the physical and mental adversity in their way in order to win the season's ultimate reward - the state championship. Walking viewers through the journey taken by the 2011 wrestling team, is Executive Producer Chris Pratt who was a former student at the high school.

"It is an honor to exhibit 'True Life Presents: On the Mat' during the Tribeca Film Festival" said Dave Sirulnick, Executive Vice President of MTV News and Docs.
