OPRAH WINFREY INTERVIEWS FILM PRODUCER DEVON FRANKLIN ABOUT HIS BOOK 'PRODUCED BY FAITH', HIS ENGAGEMENT TO ACTRESS MEAGAN GOOD, AND WORKING WITH WILL SMITH ON "SUPER SOUL SUNDAY" JUNE 17 ON OWN

On an all new episode of "Super Soul Sunday" June 17 at 11 a.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, Oprah Winfrey interviews Hollywood film executive DeVon Franklin, author of "Produced By Faith," about how he found his way in the entertainment industry, his relationship with actress Meagan Good ("Think Like a Man") and working his way up as an intern for Will Smith.

Franklin's star-studded studio career is only half the story. In addition to working behind the scenes of such successful films as "The Pursuit of Happyness," "Jumping The Broom" and the remake of "The Karate Kid," he is also a Seventh Day Adventist preacher. In his recently published book "Produced by Faith," he uses the process of filmmaking as a metaphor for finding direction, meaning and purpose in life. Franklin also affirms how anyone can maintain his or her beliefs while navigating an ambitious career path and conflicts that arise along the way, propelling them to success. Winfrey also talks to Franklin about why the church and his faith have always been at the forefront of his life and career, making him a unique figure in Hollywood.

Winfrey blogged on Oprah.com on Monday, June 11, "[Super Soul Sunday] symbolizes the reason why I wanted to stay in television ...I was so moved by [DeVon's] passion and commitment to faith while functioning in the lion's den of entertainment I could hardly wait to do a 'Super Soul Sunday' and share his insights, clarity and wisdom with you. He's in the business of developing movies and talent, but as you will see, is a bona fide dynamo himself."
