MTV TAKES SIBLING RIVALRY TO NEW HEIGHTS IN THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "WAKEBROTHERS" ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 25 AT 11:00 P.M. ET/PT

Santa Monica, CA (June 25, 2012) - MTV today announced that new comedic reality series "WakeBrothers," which follows both the personal and professional lives of wakeboarding sibling superstars Phil and Bob Soven, will premiere on Wednesday, July 25 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT. In the half-hour, 12 episode series, Phil and Bob live, play and compete together on the U.S. Pro Wakeboarding Tour... but that's all they have in common. From appearance to personality, these brothers couldn't be more different. Phil is focused, stoic and known by their friends as "Ice Man." Bob on the other hand is a quirky, outgoing red-head who by his own admission creates "Ginger Mayhem" wherever he goes. Bob's ever-failing ideas and pranks such as hiring a 20-person choir to wake Phil up in the morning or putting Phil's photo and phone number on a highway billboard as an attempt to score him a date, take their toll on his driven older brother. Throughout the series the competition remains constant - on and off the water. Sibling rivalry can be tough but for the Sovens, this battle between brothers is taken to a whole new level.

Currently ranked as the number one professional wakeboarder in the world, 23-year-old Phil is on the ride of his life with sponsorship deals and new business endeavors but he takes his future very seriously. However, his 20-year-old brother Bob doesn't take anything in life too seriously. "Wake Brothers" will chronicle their sibling shenanigans as Phil battles to stay at the top of his game and keep his reputation as a consummate professional while Bob attempts to be the life of the party, find a girlfriend who will put up with his antics and torment Phil along the way.

To connect with the WakeBrothers via Twitter, fans can follow Phil Soven @PhilSoven and Bob Soven @TheRealBobSoven and use the hash tag #WakeBrothers or like the show on Facebook.

"WakeBrothers" will also air internationally on MTV channels around the world starting in November 2012.

"WakeBrothers" is produced by Pink Sneakers Productions. Executive producers are Kimberly Cowin and John Ehrhard. Tony DiBari and Karen Frank serve as executive producers for MTV and Matthew Parillo is the executive in charge for the network.
