USA TAPS REENA SINGH TO VICE PRESIDENT, ORIGINAL SCRIPTED PROGRAMMING

NEW YORK, NY - August 6, 2012 -- USA Network has tapped Reena Singh as vice president, original scripted programming, it was announced today by Bill McGoldrick, executive vice president, original scripted programming, to whom Singh reports.

"USA is extremely lucky to have nabbed Reena," said McGoldrick. "With her recent experience at our studio, UCP, she is familiar with the network and will bring her great taste and relationships to her executive role here at USA."

In her new position, Singh is responsible for overseeing the production of hit original series COVERT AFFAIRS and FAIRLY LEGAL. She hails from Universal Cable Productions (UCP) where she was vice president of development and current programming. While there, she developed shows with writers and producers for USA, overseeing projects from the first initial pitch to the pilot stage. As a current executive, she worked alongside executive producers/showrunners on USA's FAIRLY LEGAL and IN PLAIN SIGHT. Singh is based in Los Angeles.

Prior to UCP, Singh developed and produced original movies for Disney Channel. "High School Musical," "Camp Rock" and "Lemonade Mouth" are some of the movies produced during her tenure. Additionally, she collaborated with such feature producers and production companies as Debra Martin Chase, Andy Fickman, Mandeville, Andrew Gunn and Gough/ Millar. The scope of her duties expanded to series franchise extension projects involving the consumer product and publishing unit divisions.

Earlier in her career, Singh was an entertainment associate at ABC after working for several years at ABC News as a producer covering international and domestic stories, including U.S. Presidential campaigns.
