ION Television Acquires Off-Network Rights to Popular CBS Series "Numb3rs"

The Crime-Drama Series from Award-Winning Producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott to Join ION in 2012/13 Season

NEW YORK, August 7, 2012 - ION Television today announced the addition of the popular police procedural series "Numb3rs" to its expanding general entertainment programming lineup. The content deal with CBS Television Distribution includes all six seasons (118 episodes) of the series and bolsters ION's solid programming foundation with another high-quality syndicated series. "Numb3rs" is set to premiere on ION during the 2012/13 television season.

"'Numb3rs' has a proven track record and features a strong cast with storylines that will resonate with our ION audience," said Brandon Burgess, CEO, ION Media Networks. "The series aligns perfectly with our general entertainment schedule and is a natural next step in our syndicated series expansion strategy."

"Numb3rs" follows the story of dedicated FBI agent Don Eppes (Rob Morrow), who recruits his mathematical-genius younger brother, Charlie (David Krumholtz), to help solve a wide range of crimes in Los Angeles. Inspired by actual events, the two brothers, who couldn't be more different, take on the most perplexing criminal cases, using a mix of police work and mathematics to provide surprising revelations and solutions to the most confounding criminal questions.

"Numb3rs" was created by Nicolas Falacci and Cheryl Heuton, both executive producers of the series, along with award-winning executive producers Ridley Scott and Tony Scott. The series was produced by The Barry Schindel Company and Scott Free Productions in association with CBS Television Studios. "Numb3rs" aired for six seasons on CBS, concluding in 2010.

The "Numb3rs" deal follows another key programming addition for the network, as ION recently announced its first exclusive broadcast partnership with WWE for the original series "WWE Main Event." "Numb3rs" also joins ION's "Positively Entertaining" lineup of hit series, including the original show "Flashpoint," "Criminal Minds," "Cold Case" and "Leverage."
