THE HUB TV NETWORK CELEBRATES LABOR DAY HOLIDAY WITH THE DEBUT OF THREE ACTION SERIES, SPECIAL "THE AQUABATS! SUPER SHOW!" MARATHON, AND "AQUABAT! TO SCHOOL SWEEPSTAKES"

"Superman: The Animated Series," "Sliders," "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" Join Schedule

LOS ANGELES - This Labor Day, The Hub TV Network celebrates the holiday with the addition of three popular action-packed series for kids and their parents as well as a chance to win one of six $1,000 back-to-school shopping sprees. On Monday, September 3, the live-action series, "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" and "Sliders," and the critically lauded "Superman: The Animated Series" will premiere on The Hub, joining a special Labor Day marathon and sweepstakes for the popular series "The Aquabats! Super Show!"

"The Aquabats! Super Show!" Labor Day marathon (Monday, September 3, noon-3 p.m. ET) will feature six back-to-back episodes of the outrageous comedy-adventure series that follows the greatest crime-fighting rock band ever assembled. On-air messaging during the marathon will reveal a show-related code and a toll-free number for the tune-in-to-win "Aquabat! To School! Sweepstakes." Six viewers chosen at random from those who call will each win a $1,000 back-to-school shopping spree. Details and rules regarding the "Aquabat! To School! Sweepstakes" will be available on www.hubworld.com starting Saturday, August 25.

The three newly acquired series launching on Labor Day build on The Hub's strategy of presenting programming based on beloved entertainment properties that have strong and devoted fan bases. The new series additions to The Hub's lineup beginning September 3 follow (all times ET).

"Superman: The Animated Series" (9 a.m., Mondays-Fridays, with encores throughout the week) follows the legendary superhero in exciting new stories that chronicle the adventures of the last son of Krypton as he protects his adoptive home of Earth by battling the forces of villainy and continuing his quest for truth, justice and the American way. Featuring the vocal talents of Tim Daly ("Wings") and Dana Delany ("Body of Evidence," "Desperate Housewives"). Distributed by Warner Bros. Television.

"Sliders" (10-11 p.m., Mondays-Thursdays) features a young genius (Jerry O'Connell, "Crossing Jordan") who invents a teleportation device allowing him and his friends to "slide" between parallel worlds, experiencing places that look familiar to their world, but with sometimes vast differences. Distributed by NBCUniversal Cable and New Media Distribution.

"Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" (11 p.m.-midnight, Mondays-Thursdays) is an internationally beloved fantasy-action series that features the mythical hero Hercules (Kevin Sorbo, "Andromeda") in a time when only one man dared to challenge the gods with a strength the world had never seen before. Hercules ventures on journeys across ancient lands riddled with fantastical creatures and all-powerful deities. Distributed by NBCUniversal Cable and New Media Distribution.
