New GMC TV Studios in Atlanta Hosts First Production

GMC TV Provides Full Studio Production for 'ASPiRE Groundbreaking Movies' Series

ATLANTA, Aug. 28, 2012 -- GMC TV, America's favorite channel for uplifting family entertainment, announced that its new GMC TV Studios in Atlanta has hosted its first production, for the "ASPiRE Groundbreaking Movies" programming series. GMC TV provides operations, affiliate and ad support for ASPiRE, the new network launched in June by Magic Johnson Enterprises.

"We have been eagerly anticipating the christening of GMC TV Studios since we started working on designs many months ago," said Rex Humbard, GMC TV's senior vice president, production & operations. "To be able to do our first production for ASPiRE's "Groundbreaking Movies" programming block is an exciting way to get started, and a great first step in establishing GMC TV Studios as one of the region's premier facilities of its kind."

GMC TV Studios is located at GMC TV and ASPiRE's new offices in College Park, an Atlanta suburb to which the networks relocated this summer. The studios will provide full-service production for GMC TV and ASPiRE studio originals, music performances, host shoots and on air promos. The GMC TV Studios are also available to outside organizations.

The state-of-the-art, multi-camera studio includes editing and graphics suites, a studio, control room and green room. It is capable of producing both live-on-tape and film-style content.

Paul Butler, general manager of ASPiRE, said, "GMC TV Studios is a first-class facility with an equally first-class crew. As a new network it is especially important that ASPiRE presents viewers with broadcast network quality production values right out of the gate, and having access to GMC TV Studios will enable us to do just that."
