CBS AND COOKIE JAR ENTERTAINMENT PRESENT THE NEW CHILDREN'S EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMMING SCHEDULE FOR "COOKIE JAR TV," PREMIERING SATURDAY, SEPT. 22

Three-Hour E/I-Compliant Weekend Morning Schedule Includes New to the Lineup "Liberty's Kids" and Returning Favorites "The Doodlebops" and "Busytown Mysteries"

CBS and Cookie Jar Entertainment present the new children's program schedule premiering Saturday, Sept. 22 on the CBS Television Network. The three-hour E/I-compliant programming block, exclusive to broadcast television, is comprised of the new show "Liberty's Kids," plus new episodes of returning favorites "The Doodlebops" and repeat episodes of "Busytown Mysteries."

The following is the show description for the new series:

LIBERTY'S KIDS (E/I, 9-11, TVY-7)

LIBERTY'S KIDS delves into the dramatic fray of the War of Independence, as seen through the eyes of two kids who have been taken in and given jobs as roving reporters by the Renaissance man of the Revolution, Ben Franklin. British teen Sarah sees both sides of the war and doesn't like either, while American teen Gregory is a passionate defender of freedom and liberty. French orphan Henri, who's also taken in by Ben, may be younger than his new "big brother" and "big sister," but often he sees most clearly. The series is packed with action, yet it confronts moral decisions head-on.

The following is the show description for returning series:

THE DOODLEBOPS (E/I, 3-6, TV-Y)

THE DOODLEBOPS star Deedee, Rooney and Moe Doodle - three multi-talented rock stars who are always singing, dancing and learning from each other. They are the ultimate rock and roll band. Joining them are new characters Jazz'min and Audio Murphy, plus returning favorite bus driver Bob, as they hang out and practice their song and dance routines in the coolest rehearsal space imaginable, and travel from show to show in their tour bus. Each episode explores social issues, such as the importance of persistence and the value of openness to new things. The program emphasizes an appreciation of music and integrates the social lessons into original songs.

BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES (E/I, 3-7, TV-Y)

Inspired by the beloved works of bestselling children's author Richard Scarry, BUSYTOWN MYSTERIES brings the popular adventures of Busytown to preschoolers with an educational, problem-solving twist. Children can follow classic characters, such as Huckle, Sally, Lowly, Hilda, Pig Will and Pig Won't, while they travel around Busytown on fun-filled adventures looking for answers to life's puzzles. They are always up for a new adventure and, with everyone driving his or her own unique vehicle, such as the iconic Apple Car and Pickle Car, getting there is half the fun.

Following is the "Cookie Jar TV" Saturday morning lineup for the 2012-13 season: (Schedule's day and time may differ market-to-market. Check local listings.)
