NEW YORK, Aug. 30, 2012 -- "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and its ongoing political coverage "Democalypse 2012," will soon be Charlotte-bound, as the entire staff heads to Charlotte, NC next week to broadcast a week of shows during the Democratic National Convention, titled "DNC 2012: Hope and Change 2," airing nightly at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT from Tuesday, September 4 through Friday, September 7.

"DNC 2012: Hope and Change 2" is taping at ImaginOn: The Joe & Joan Martin Center(TM) (300 East Seventh St.) in Charlotte. The convention episodes will feature news, analysis, and guest interviews from host Jon Stewart as well as reports from the convention floor at the Time Warner Cable Arena from The Best F#@king News Team Ever, including Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi, John Oliver and Jessica Williams. In addition, the show will present a biographical film about President Obama among other comedic pieces throughout the week.

Guests will include NBC News Special Correspondent and author Tom Brokaw (September 4), Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY; September 5), and former Council of Economic Advisors Chairman Austan Goolsbee (September 6).

This marks the tenth time the series has taken its critically-acclaimed and award-winning political coverage on the road, having previously travelled to Philadelphia (2000 RNC), Los Angeles (2000 DNC), Boston (2004 DNC), Denver (2008 DNC), St. Paul (2008 RNC) and Tampa (2012 RNC) to cover the national party conventions, and to Washington, D.C.
