ALL POLITICAL HELL BREAKS LOOSE - "THE THICK OF IT" SEASON FOUR TO DEBUT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE U.S. ON HULU AND HULU PLUS

The Highly Anticipated New Season of Armando Iannucci's Award-Winning Political Comedy Hits Hulu on Sept. 9, Immediately After U.K. Broadcast on BBC Two

WHAT: Beginning Sunday, Sept. 9, foul-mouthed spin doctor Malcolm Tucker and the Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship (DoSAC)return for more power plays, vengeance and scandal. After a three-year hiatus, creator Armando Iannucci ("Veep," "In the Loop,") introduces a new Secretary of State to stir things up while Malcolm and MP Nicola Murray adapt to working in the opposition. New episodes of the 30-minute comedy run each Sunday on Hulu and Hulu Plus immediately after their international broadcast. All seven episodes will be available on the service on Oct. 21. Hulu and Hulu Plus are the exclusive U.S. destinations for all seasons of "The Thick of It." Season four of "The Thick of It" is Hulu's first international co-production through a partnership with the BBC secured by BBC Worldwide Americas.

Synopsis: Government embarrassment, ministerial cock-up, coalition rows, backroom deals, policy U-turns, spin doctoring, political back-stabbing, wild media speculation, and more time spent with one's family. It can only be the eagerly-anticipated return of Armando Iannucci's sharp political satire "The Thick of It". Rebecca Front and Peter Capaldi reprise their BAFTA-winning roles as Nicola Murray and Malcolm Tucker, now consigned to the opposition benches, but still desperate for power. Roger Allam returns as Peter Mannion, the new Secretary of State for Social Affairs, supported by his team of special advisors and thwarted by his new coalition partners.

Catch up on the first three seasons of "The Thick of It" exclusively on Hulu and Hulu Plus.

WHEN: Season four premieres Sunday, Sept.9
