LOSING OUR COOL (FOX, New!) - Feature writer Shauna Cross ("What to Expect When You're Expecting") has sold a single-camera comedy to the network which "tells the story of adult friendships after parenthood and how having a kid forces you to hang with people you have nothing in common with, other than the fact that your dumbass kids play together." FOX has given a put pilot commitment to the potential project, which Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein are also on board to executive produce via their Warner Bros. Television-based Fake Empire banner. (Deadline.com)

PAGING DR. FREED (USA) - Leslie Grossman ("10 Things I Hate About You") has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about two gynecologist brothers (Kyle Howard, Joel David Moore) who inherit their father's thriving medical practice after he suffers a heart attack during an attempt at "playing" doctor with his young secretary. SKIN DEEP (ABC, New!) - Screenwriter Sheldon Turner ("Up In The Air") has sold a potential drama to the Alphabet described as "a sexy soap set against the backdrop of a family-run beauty empire." STARTING UP (FOX, New!) - John Phillips and Ruben Fleischer have landed a potential comedy at the network about "two 20-something friends who quit their boring office jobs to form a startup company, but soon find themselves in over their heads as they try to juggle the challenges of adult life with running a company." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the presumably single-camera project, which Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone will executive produce alongside the pair. (Deadline.com)

TROPHY WIFE (ABC) - Malin Akerman ("Suburgatory") is in talks for the title role on the recently ordered comedy pilot, about Kate (Akerman), "a reformed party girl who finds herself with an insta-family when she falls in love with a man with three manipulative kids and two judgmental ex-wives." The ABC Studios-based half-hour was created by Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins with Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

UNTITLED LAGRAVENESE & GOLDWYN PROJECT (AMC) - Damon Gupton and Aunjanue Ellis have both been cast in the drama pilot, about a District Attorney who uncovers new evidence that prompts the reinvestigation of a sensational murder case. UNTITLED LAUREN POMERANTZ PROJECT (NBC, New!) - Lauren Pomerantz ("The Ellen DeGeneres Show") has booked a new single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a successful, proudly independent 32-year-old woman who is convinced she just doomed herself to die alone when she notices she's listed as 'a single woman' on the paperwork for the house she's about to close on." DeGeneres herself is executive producing the half-hour via her Warner Bros. Television-based A Very Good Production. (Deadline.com)
