OXYGEN MEDIA RAMPS UP ITS DEVELOPMENT SLATE WITH FIVE BOLD NEW SHOWS AIMED AT YOUNG WOMEN

Network Adds "Fat Girl Revenge," "Funny Girls," "Shotgun Weddings," "Heart and Soul" and "Gorgeous & Guilty!" Covering Genres of Comedy, Romance and Crime

NEW YORK - October 3, 2012 - After delivering an impressive year of creative growth and a robust programming schedule, Oxygen Media goes into overdrive with five distinctive new development titles for 2013, each touching upon passion points for the young woman in transitionhood. From empowerment and aspiration to dating and love, these 'Live Out Loud' shows offer a multifaceted look at the desires and interests of 'Generation O' using a range of formats and genres that underscore the networks commitment to its core audience.

"Oxygen is focused on developing unique and noisy new series that truly capture every emotion of our young, female viewers" says Cori Abraham, Senior Vice President, Development, Oxygen Media. "Whether it's about getting revenge or unapologetically pursuing your dreams, our development team has done a phenomenal job of continuing to build the network's slate with diverse and innovative shows that reflect our audience."

From a 'take charge' yet humorous standpoint, "Fat Girl Revenge" and "Funny Girls" highlight determined women who know the respect they deserve and are not willing to settle. Whether the mission is to get thin and then get even with the people who hurt them the most, or to take the top spot amongst a group of feisty and competitive female comics in a male-dominated industry, these independent women are living life on their own terms.

To sweeten the slate, "Shotgun Weddings" and "Heart and Soul" explore the romantic journeys of those who are equally as driven, but this time it's all in the name of love. "Shotgun Weddings" follows couples that are head over heels and intent on tying the knot before their baby arrives, while "Heart and Soul" spotlights Miami's top matchmaking agency as their team of romance strategists pull out all the stops for urban professional women seeking true love.

To round out these wide-ranging new titles, Oxygen chronicles the true stories of single-minded women at a tipping point in their lives in "Gorgeous and Guilty!" This bold new crime series delves into the scandalous inner-workings of America's most infamous femme fatales as they stop at nothing to get what they want.

OXYGEN SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT:

"Fat Girl Revenge"

This daring new series is not another weight loss or makeover show, it's about getting even... after getting gorgeous. Everyone has a story of being teased, taunted, and hurt by someone, but not everyone has the chance to stand up to their bully and finally get revenge. It's time for the 'fat girl' who was discounted, humiliated and rejected to move on and shed her weight and painful baggage. Each week, viewers meet two women who are ready to do what it takes to confidently confront their rival - and for those who inflicted the hurt, payback is going to be something they never expected. "Fat Girl Revenge" is produced by 3 Ball Productions, with executive producers JD Roth, Todd Nelson, Brant Pinvidic and Adam Kaloustian.

"Funny Girls " (working title)

If you think that being gorgeous and funny makes life easy - think again because the life of a female comic is anything but 'pretty.' This dynamic new series shows the competitive side of the male-dominated comedy business through the lens of feisty women looking to break the glass ceiling as well as the stereotypes. It's a cutthroat profession where women fight tooth-and-nail for survival of the funniest, and aren't afraid to play rough when they see someone rising up beside them. They're on the edge of making it, breaking in and giving up on a daily basis, all while viewers have a peek at their friendships, love lives and the beautiful disaster that comes with the pursuit of comedic fame. "Funny Girls" is produced by Brownstone Entertainment, with executive producers Drew Brown and Bob Gillan.

"Shotgun Weddings" (working title)

Young couples defy the notion that 'first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes the baby' in this new series that follows expectant parents determined to have a fairytale wedding before their bundle of joy arrives. Though they may have done things out of order, each couple feels it's now or never. With just months to throw everything together, and judgmental families and a ticking clock all working against them - will each pair's hormonal race to the alter happen in time or will they end up having their baby as the ring bearer or flower girl? "Shotgun Weddings" is produced by BermanBraun, with executive producers Gail Berman, Lloyd Braun, Gene Stein and Chris Cowan.

"Heart and Soul" (working title)

This unique new dating show centers on Miami's exclusive matchmaking agency for urban professional women called "Heart & Soul International," which is run by the outspoken and outrageous Natalie Clarice. Navigating the singles scene can be a daunting task, and Natalie's clients are busy with progressive careers and a lifestyle that ultimately needs balance. After hand-picking and pre-dating suitable male candidates, she and her team of romance strategists provide customized relationship services to hopeful clients that want a lasting relationship. Viewers will watch as each over-worked and under-loved woman follows this expertise for the chance to find true love. "Heart and Soul" is produced by Endemol, with executive producer Alex Duda.

"Gorgeous & Guilty!" (working title)

A companion piece to the hit Oxygen series "Snapped," this is a true crime show that investigates the twisted minds of beautiful women tangled up in the scandals of the century. Not every case is cut and dry as each episode focuses on a vicious vixen in trouble with the law for crimes including prostitution, robbery, embezzlement and cold-blooded homicide. News footage, in-depth interviews and dramatic re-enactments will take viewers back to the where it all began and not only investigate the facts of each case, but uncover these daring diva's real motives. "Gorgeous and Guilty!" is produced by 495 Productions, with executive producer SallyAnn Salsano.
