Part of a Nicholas Sparks Double Feature That Includes "The Last Song"

Burbank, CA (October 15, 2012) - ABC Family will air the world premiere of the special edition of "The Notebook," starring Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, on Sunday, November 11th at 8pm ET/PT. The movie includes over ten minutes of deleted scenes, previously only available on the special features of the DVD/BluRay. For the first time ever, the scenes have been edited back into the film, for a richer, more meaningful viewing experience. The film is part of a Nicholas Sparks double feature that kicks off at 5:30pm ET/PT with "The Last Song," starring Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

Behind every great love is a great story. In the 1940s in Seabrook, North Carolina, teenage debutante Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) and local boy Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) spend one passionate, carefree summer together and fall deeply in love. But when the summer ends, war and duty separate the young couple.

In the present day, an elderly man (James Garner) visits a nursing home to read from his notebook to a woman (Gena Rowlands) whose memory is fading. As he spins a tale of two young lovers with their whole lives before them, the woman relives a long-ago passion that has never died, an unbreakable bond between two ordinary people rendered extraordinary by the strength, power and beauty of true love.
