HGTV TO PREMIERE FOUR NEW SERIES IN THE NEW YEAR

New York, N.Y. (For Immediate Release -- December 3, 2012) HGTV will premiere four new half-hour primetime series, Hawaii Life, Scoring the Deal, Cousins on Call and Spontaneous Construction in early 2013. The new series will offer viewers different perspectives on celebrity and luxury real estate and showcase innovative approaches to renovation.

"A new year gives us the opportunity to put a different lens on home-related programming and set the stage for viewers in 2013," said Kathleen Finch, general manager, HGTV and DIY Network. "Our January premieres are a signal to fans that they can expect new programming vehicles for popular network stars like the Kitchen Cousins, but they also can expect us to showcase the myriad of unusual approaches and fresh characters who are experiencing 'home' in unexpected, and sometimes enviable, ways."

In Hawaii, from Oahu and Kauai to The Big Island and Maui, properties range from $50,000 plots of land to $50 million dollar dream homes. The brokers at Hawaii Life realty firm, who make island-living dreams a reality, sell by the code "you don't have to be rich to live in Hawaii; you just have to want it." The more than 130 brokers at the firm are unlikely real-estate moguls -- many of whom made the leap to "the life" in Hawaii and want to see others enjoy it, too. Hawaii Life, premiering on Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT, will follow the firm's endless stream of clients who are abandoning their 9-to-5 lives stateside to take hold of life in paradise.

Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT, fans of Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri, aka Kitchen Cousins, can catch the contractors in action as they take on more than just kitchen renovations. In their new series, Cousins on Call, the guys come to the rescue of outdated and dysfunctional homes and create awe-inspiring spaces for clients. The larger than life renovations sometimes call for extra hands which means John and Anthony call on their extended family for help.

Debuting Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 11 p.m. ET/PT, Scoring the Deal follows Jason Abrams, real estate specialist to the pros, through the fast-paced world of real estate for the world's best professional athletes. Known as the "Jerry Maguire of real estate," Jason's intense drive ensures that his clients are taken care of on every level. He serves not only as a broker, but also as concierge and tour guide to sport's biggest stars. Athletes featured this season include NFL pros Clinton Portis, Adewale Ogunleye, Cato June, Vontae and Vernon Davis and NBA stars Greivis Vasquez and Jordan Farmar.

Bridging the gap between television and social media, Spontaneous Construction, on tap to premiere in February, will activate a "task mob" to help homeowners who are struggling with a renovation project. By harnessing the power of email, Facebook, Twitter, Craigslist and others, host Ricky Paull Goldin recruits a massive group of dancing, flash-mobbing strangers. Carpenters, skilled laborers and helping hands join forces to create stunning renovations - and have a ton of fun along the way.

Premiere dates and times are subject to change. For additional dates, times, and show information, visit HGTV.com.
