NBC BOLSTERS SEASON FINALE OF "THE VOICE" WITH PERFORMANCES BY MARQUEE STARS RIHANNA, KELLY CLARKSON, BRUNO MARS AND THE KILLERS

New Season Champion Also Will Be Crowned in Live, Two-hour Show on December 18

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - December 12, 2012 - NBC announced a star-powered marquee of guest stars for the live, two-hour finale for its third cycle on Tuesday, December 18 (8-10 p.m. ET) with Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars and The Killers set to perform. The finale that night will conclude when a new champion is crowned.

In addition, "The Voice" season finale will have other surprise guest performers to be announced later.

The series' musician coaches are Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton

Rihanna will sing her hit song "Diamonds" while Clarkson will perform one of her latest singles from her "Greatest Hits" album in "Catch My Breath." The Killers will be singing their hit "Runaways" and Mars will debut "When I Was Your Man" from his sophomore album "Unorthodox Jukebox."

Rihanna made pop music history when "Unapologetic," her seventh studio album in seven years for Island Def Jam, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart, the first #1 Soundscan album of her career. "Unapologetic's" arrival built on the success of "Diamonds," Rihanna's record-breaking 12th Hot 100 #1 hit. Rihanna has six Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, six American Music Awards, 18 Billboard Music Awards, and the hard-earned title of Facebook's most-liked public figure with 62 million likes to her name. She was also named the world's #1 social media star by Forbes, with over 2.9 billion views on YouTube/VEVO, the most ever for any female artist, and over 26 million Twitter followers.

Since bursting onto the music scene 10 years ago, Clarkson has released five studio albums ("Thankful," "Breakaway," "My December," "All I Ever Wanted" and "Stronger"), sold over 20 million albums worldwide, 10 million albums in the US and has had 10 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. She is the recipient of two Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award and 12 Billboard Music Awards. Clarkson's most recent effort "Stronger" debuted at #2 on both the Billboard Top 200 and Digital Albums Chart. The album is certified Platinum by the R.I.A.A. and produced the smash singles, "Mr. Know It All" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" which marks Clarkson's ninth and 10th Top 10 hit. "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" was #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 Chart for two consecutive weeks (three weeks total) marking her third #1 on the Hot 100 chart after 2002's "A Moment Like This" and 2009's "My Life Would Suck Without You." Clarkson was recently a mentor on ABC's "Duets" as well as a guest mentor for Team Blake on "The Voice." She was recently nominated for a 2012 CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year. She recently released "Greatest Hits - Chapter 1" on November 19, which features three new tracks as well as a compilation of some of her greatest hits to date. In addition, Clarkson was recently nominated for four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

Mars is a 14-time Grammy Award nominee who has sold more than 50 million singles worldwide and has one billion views on YouTube. His debut album, "Doo-Wops & Hooligans," was released in October 2010 and has been certified 40-times platinum worldwide. The album, which was named, "the year's finest pop debut: 10 near-perfect songs" by Rolling Stone, included the 12-time platinum blockbuster single "Just the Way You Are," which hit #1 in multiple countries across the globe and won the critically acclaimed artist a Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" claimed two additional hit singles, the 10-time platinum "Grenade" and six-time platinum "The Lazy Song."

Mars has also received the ASCAP Song of the Year for "Just the Way You Are," a BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist, an American Music Award for Favorite Male Artist in Pop/Rock and the People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Artist. In 2011, Mars was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the world. His latest single, "Locked Out of Heaven," from his sophomore album "Unorthodox Jukebox," is proving to be yet another sensation for Mars, currently sitting at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the artist's fourth #1. "Unorthodox Jukebox" is receiving rave reviews from critics, noted by Rolling Stone as "a record that makes the competition sound sad and idea-starved by comparison," and named Mars a "master song-crafter." Entertainment Weekly lists the album at #1 on this week's Must List, claiming Mars "aims his croon at a range of targets -- reggae, soul, Prince-inspired pop - and hits the mark every time," while Billboard says the "boldly ambitious and gloriously irreverent 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is made for - and gets better with - as many repeat plays as you can manage."

The Killers are a Las Vegas-based, four-piece band who formed in 2002 featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received numerous accolades for its artistic achievement, including multiple Grammy Award nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards, BRIT Awards and more. They have sold over 14 million albums worldwide; their first album, "Hot Fuss," was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The band toured for two years straight behind "Hot Fuss," playing more than 400 shows, and eventually returned to Vegas to begin to work on the follow-up album with legendary producers Alan Moulder and Flood. The result, a love letter of sorts to their hometown, is titled "Sam's Town," was released in 2006 and spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200.

Their third studio album, "Day & Age," was released to widespread critical praise in 2008. The following tour saw the band headlining two of America's most prestigious festivals, Lollapalooza and Coachella, as well as selling out Madison Square Garden for the third time. The Killers released their newest album, "Battle Born," in September 2012. Critically acclaimed upon its release, "Battle Born," like its namesake and the band that created it, is an album that does not back down from its own strengths.

The Killers have appeared three times on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," in addition to performances on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "The Late Show with David Letterman," among others.

"The Voice" is a presentation of One Three Media (a Hearst/Mark Burnett company), Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series is created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
