NBC'S "THE BIGGEST LOSER: CHALLENGE AMERICA" UNVEILS NEW SEGMENT FEATURING ELIMINATED CONTESTANT MAKEOVERS ON MONDAY, JANUARY 28 (8-10 P.M. ET)

Plus, the Contestants Tackle the Universal Challenge of Eating Healthy on a Limited Budget, and Get a Special Visit from Chef Devin Alexander

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - January 24, 2013 - For the first time ever in "Biggest Loser" history, the NBC series will begin airing eliminated contestant makeover segments on Monday, January 28 (8-10 p.m. ET), celebrating the impressive transformations of players who have gone home, captured at a fun, glamorous photo shoot held halfway through season 14.

Most of the eliminated contestants never make it to the popular "Biggest Loser" makeover episode each season. But now, many of those contestants are getting glammed up for their own "makeover" photo shoots, celebrating just how far they've come since leaving the ranch. Beyond the "where are they now" segments that will continue for each eliminated contestant, the transformation segments will air in the first half hour of each "Biggest Loser" episode, with a different eliminated contestant featured every week showing off their new slimmer selves in stylish new clothes.

The January 28 episode will also feature contestants learning to make healthy food choices on a limited budget, a challenge faced by many Americans. The week kicks off with the players returning from a workout at the ranch, only to find that the kitchen and refrigerators have been emptied of food. Tasked with trying to affordably stock the kitchen with a week's worth of healthy food, the contestants race against time at a grocery to make healthy purchases within their budget. Chef Devin Alexander also stops by to teach them how to eat healthy on a budget, whipping up a delicious and affordable dish that can feed a family of four for just $12.

Later, one contestant struggles to keep trying her best despite weight loss setbacks, while Dr. H and one of the trainers help a contestant realize the importance of addressing the emotional issues that contributed to his weight gain. Trainers Bob, Jillian and Dolvett get an update via skype with kid participants Biingo, Lindsay and Sunny, continuing to keep them motivated, and then a swimming challenge puts the players to the test as they compete for one of the most coveted prizes of all. Finally, a tearful elimination sends another player home.

"The Biggest Loser: Challenge America" is a production of Shine America, 25/7 Productions and 3 Ball Productions. Ben Silverman, Dave Broome, Lisa Hennessy, Eden Gaha, Paul Franklin, JD Roth and Todd A. Nelson are the executive producers.
