LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- CBS has benched its midseason entry "The Job" after two episodes.
The series delivered a modest 3.37 million viewers and 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 this past Friday, down from its already weak debut (4.12 million viewers, 0.9 adults 18-49 rating).
Said numbers were also below the equally short-lived "Made in Jersey," which posted 6.77 million viewers and a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating in its second - and final - airing in the Friday, 8:00/7:00c slot.
Today's bookings indicate previous occupant "Undercover Boss" will return to the time period effective immediately. It's not clear when - or if - the six remaining episodes of "The Job" will air.
Michael Davies, Mark Burnett and Jay Bienstock are the executive producers for Sony Pictures Television and Embassy Row.
