FUNNY MAN DREW CAREY GUEST STARS ON "BRANDX with Russell Brand"

Thursday, February 21 at 11:30PM ET/PT

Los Angeles, CA - February 19, 2013 - Drew Carey comes face-to-face with Brand as his special guest this Thursday, February 21 at 11:30PM ET/PT for a full-hour live episode of BrandX with Russell Brand.

Drew Carey is a stand-up comic turned actor and producer who had the distinction of having two hit shows simultaneously: the long-running comedy The Drew Carey Show, which ran from 1995-2004, and the improv/sketch show Whose Line Is It Anyway? The success of that show led to the creation of Drew Carey's Improv All-Stars. In July 2007, Carey was named the host of The Price Is Right, succeeding longtime host Bob Barker.

BrandX aims Russell Brand's unique, rollicking skillset at the traditional monologue, celebrity interviews, and audiences segments. The series currently airs at 11:30PM ET/PT, but will move to 11:00PM ET/PT beginning February 28. The series is produced by FX Productions, in association with Branded Films and Dakota Films. Executive Producers are Brand, Troy Miller, Nik Linnen and John Noel.

Russell Brand shot to fame in the U.S. in 2008 when he was seen as rocker "Aldous Snow" in the Judd Apatow-produced comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Since then, the British star has become an international comedic success. Beginning his career as a stand-up comedian, Russell rose to fame in the UK in 2003 for his Big Brother spin-off, Big Brother's Big Mouth. He launched his first nationwide tour, Shame, in 2006; the show was released on DVD as Russell Brand: Live. Brand launched his second nationwide tour in 2007, Russell Brand: Only Joking; released on DVD as Russell Brand: Doin' Life.

He brought his stand-up comedy tour to the United States in 2009 with his tour, Russell Brand: Scandalous. Previous film credits include Warner Bros. Arthur, Universal's Hop, Get Him to the Greek, Disney's Bedtime Stories and Miramax's The Tempest. Also an acclaimed author, Russell has written two books, My Booky Wook: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs and Stand-Up, which was on The New York Times best-seller list for five weeks in a row, and the follow up, Booky Wook 2: This Time It's Personal.

Since hosting the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008 and 2009, he has garnered the largest audience since 2004, with nearly nine million viewers.
