MAROON 5 TO PERFORM LIVE ON MAY 20 EDITION OF "THE VOICE"

Grammy Award-Winning Group to Debut Fourth Single, 'Love Somebody,' Off of the Band's Best-Selling Album 'Overexposed' as Well as Offer a Special Sneak Peek of a Clip From the Upcoming Video

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - May 6, 2013 - Grammy Award-winning recording artist Maroon 5, led by coach Adam Levine, have announced they will perform live May 20 on NBC's hit musical competition series, "The Voice."

The group will debut the fourth single, "Love Somebody," off of their critically acclaimed album, "Overexposed," and offer a special sneak peek of a clip from the upcoming video as well. The collection has quickly reinforced the band's status as a powerhouse in popular music with all three previously released singles, which debuted on "The Voice," quickly rising to the top of the charts.

The group's third single, "Daylight," recently claimed the #1 spot on both Top 40 and Hot AC radio charts. In the process, the band set a record for the most #1's (six in total) by a group in the Top 40 chart's 20-year history.

Maroon 5 will headline this year's Honda Civic Tour alongside special guest Kelly Clarkson. The tour serves as an exciting intersection of the automotive and music worlds and will kick off in St. Louis on Aug. 1 and continue through early October. PJ Morton, Rozzi Crane and Tony Lucca will serve as support on select dates.

The band's releases have gone gold and platinum in over 35 countries. In 2010, Maroon 5 released their third studio album, "Hands All Over," which was certified platinum. The collection featured two hit singles: "Misery" and "Moves Like Jagger," which climbed to the #1 spot on the Top 40 and Hot AC charts, as well as claimed the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. "Moves Like Jagger" was also one of the bestselling singles of 2011, with sales of 8.5 million copies worldwide.

In addition to Levine (lead vocals, guitar), Maroon 5 consists of James Valentine (guitar), Mickey Madden (bass), Matt Flynn (drums), PJ Morton (keyboard) and Sam Farrar (touring musician).

"The Voice" continues to dominate the competition in the 18-49 demo for its Monday and Tuesday episodes. It was the #1 program on all of broadcast television the week of April 22-28 in the 18-49 demo.

The popular show is a presentation of Mark Burnett's One Three Inc., Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who executive-produces along with Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Stijn Bakkers and Lee Metzger.
