RAVENSWOOD (ABC Family) - Merritt Patterson (Disney's "Radio Rebel") is the latest addition to the upcoming "Pretty Little Liars" spin-off, about a town, not far from Rosewood, PA, which has suffered under a deadly curse for generations. She'll play Tess, "Olivia's (Elizabeth Whitson) former best friend who is not involved with the curse." Brett Dier and Tyler Blackburn also star in the project, which will roll out this October. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein are the executive producers. (THR.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - CBS reportedly will give the Chuck Lorre-produced comedy pilot "Mom" a series order tomorrow, a full week before the network's upfront presentation (Deadline.com); producers of Showtime's "The Borgias" are mulling a two-hour movie swan song for the period drama as a fourth season order isn't expected (Deadline.com); Fred Dryer will guest on "The Exes" as Holly's (Kristen Johnston) boss (TVLine.com); and Raphael Sbarge is bound for two episodes of "Necessary Roughness" as a high-level co-worker at Connor's (John Stamos) sports and entertainment management company while Ioan Gruffudd will drop by as "a successful self-help guru embarking on a book tour" (TVGuide.com).
