USA NETWORK'S CHARACTERS UNITE CAMPAIGN AND CB2 TEAM UP TO CELEBRATE PRIDE MONTH THIS JUNE

Month-Long In-Store, On-Air and Digital Promotion to Help Combat Hate and Discrimination and Support GLSEN's Efforts to Ensure Safe Schools for All Students

NEW YORK - May 31, 2013- In celebration of Pride Month, USA Network's award-winning Characters Unite public service initiative is teaming with CB2, the modern home furnishings and accessories destination, for a special multi-platform campaign to help combat hate and discrimination. Through in-store, on-air and digital promotions, the month-long effort will aim to foster greater tolerance and acceptance and benefit GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network), the leading national education organization focused on ensuring safe schools for all students.

Under the banner of the Characters Unite "I Won't Stand For..." initiative to combat hate and discrimination and CB2's "Room for All" message that unkindness of any type should not be accepted, CB2 stores nationwide will be holding special promotions throughout the month of June. In each store, there will be prominently displayed co-branded signage and a graffiti wall encouraging consumers to speak out and share that they will no longer stand for bullying, homophobia, harassment or any other form of hate. In addition, CB2 stores in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Chicago will host Pride Month exclusive parties, activities and a sweepstakes -- including a $500 CB2 gift card giveaway.

As part of the promotion, CB2 stores and cb2.com will sell a messenger bag, of which a portion of the proceeds ($30) will go to support GLSEN's work in high schools across the country. The messenger bag will retail for $79.95.

USA will drive consumer engagement via a customized Characters Unite "I Won't Stand For..." Public Service Announcement (PSA) which will run on-air throughout June, encouraging viewers to go to CB2 stores or to join the campaign via digital and social media. Both CB2 and Characters Unite will have additional information and resources on their websites and will direct people to a Facebook app where they can create their own personal "I Won't Stand For..." photo to share with friends and family.

"We're thrilled to team with CB2 to celebrate Pride Month and to increase the visibility of our shared mission to help stop hate and discrimination and promote greater respect and acceptance." said Toby Graff, USA Network's senior vice president, public affairs. "Our nation has made great progress, but there is still more work to be done and we are proud to support GLSEN's critical efforts to make sure that LGBT students are safe in their schools and their communities."
