PREVIEW OF NEW DISNEY CHANNEL ORIGINAL SERIES "LIV AND MADDIE" FRIDAY, JULY 19 - SERIES PREMIERE THIS FALL

-- Dove Cameron, Joey Bragg, Tenzing Norgay Trainor, Benjamin King and Kali Rocha Star --

It's double the fun following the world premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie "Teen Beach Movie," as Disney Channel presents a preview of the upcoming original sitcom "Liv and Maddie," FRIDAY, JULY 19 (9:45 p.m., ET/PT). The series follows smart and witty fifteen-year-old identical twins Liv and Maddie, both played by seventeen-year-old Dove Cameron, and their tight-knit family, younger brothers Joey and Parker, and parents Pete and Karen. "Liv and Maddie" will premiere this fall on Disney Channel.

In the preview episode, twin sisters Liv and Maddie at long last reunite when Liv returns home to Wisconsin after starring for four years in a hit musical television show in Hollywood. The Rooney sisters quickly realize their polar opposite personalities put their unbreakable twin bond to the test. While their parents play referee between Liv, a cool, confident, social butterfly who loves to sing, and Maddie, a smart, athletic, high school basketball star who opts for high tops over high heels, brothers Joey and Parker seize the opportunity to capitalize on the chaos and get away with as much as they can.

Starring are Dove Cameron ("Malibu Country," upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "Cloud 9") as Liv and Maddie Rooney; newcomers Joey Bragg and Tenzing Norgay Trainor as younger brothers Joey and Parker Rooney; Benjamin King ("SCRUBS," "NCIS") as dad Pete Rooney and Kali Rocha ("Grey's Anatomy," "Modern Family") as mom Karen Rooney.

"Liv and Maddie" is created and executive-produced by John Beck and Ron Hart (both of "According to Jim"). Andy Fickman ("The Game Plan," "Race to Witch Mountain"), John Peaslee ("According to Jim," "Dog With A Blog") and Betsy Sullenger ("You Again") are also executive producers, and Fickman will direct episodes for the series. "Liv and Maddie" is from It's A Laugh Productions, Inc. and carries a TV-G parental guideline.

Disney Channel is a 24-hour kid-driven, family inclusive television network that taps into the world of kids and families through original series and movies. Currently available on basic cable in over 99 million U.S. homes and to millions of other viewers on Disney Channels around the world, Disney Channel is part of the Disney/ABC Television Group.
