TRAVEL CHANNEL'S ADAM RICHMAN CELEBRATES THE EXTREMES THAT SUPER FANS GO TO IN NEW ORIGINAL SERIES "ADAM RICHMAN'S FANDEMONIUM"

Premieres with Back-To-Back Episodes on Sunday, July 14 at 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT

CHEVY CHASE, MD (June 10, 2013) - Travel Channel is spreading Fandemonium nationwide! Host Adam Richman is on a mission to explore the world of ultimate super-fans and the extremes they go to in order to celebrate their passion. The new original series, "Adam Richman's Fandemonium," explores what makes someone willing to quit their job, and spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on costumes, gear and food at their favorite events.

Sometimes the events themselves become secondary to the wild festivities, atmosphere and environment that the fans create and revel in. Richman's quest takes him from Florida to Alaska as he experiences the nation's fanatical gatherings in "Adam Richman's Fandemonium," premiering with two back-to-back episodes on Sunday, July 14 at 10:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT (regular time will be Sundays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT).

In each of the 13 half-hour episodes, Richman goes way behind-the-scenes of an event to reveal the little-known world of diehard super-fans - where the lines between hobby and obsession blur. He meets the NASCAR devotees of the Daytona 500 who live in the infield and create their own city complete with a makeshift nightclub, a BBQ concocted on state-of-the-art grills, and million-dollar RV's. He dons costumes and joins Ren-Fair attendees who leave their day jobs to live as full-time medieval characters. And he joins fans at Arctic-Man - a giant party in the Alaskan wilderness, where lack of electricity doesn't prevent revelers from bringing in their own hot tubs, monster-truck-sized snow machines, and local delicacies including moose-nose.

"I have always been fascinated by fan culture; people from all walks of life who have dedicated themselves to something larger than themselves, and are willing to spend unbelievable amounts of time, energy, and money in pursuit of the greatest celebrations, greatest experiences that any given event can offer," said Richman. "The resourcefulness, the ingenuity, and the sheer heart that fans of everything from NASCAR to the Kentucky Derby to the Renaissance Fair have shown me, has done nothing less than blow my mind."

Richman will travel across the U.S. in search of the ultimate fans at the following events (listed in alphabetical - not air order): Arctic Man Ski and Sno-Go Classic (Paxson, Alaska); Beer, Brats & Brewers (Milwaukee, Wis.); Bonnaroo (Manchester, Tenn.); Calgary Stampede (Calgary, Alberta); Country Stampede (Manhattan, Kan.); Daytona 500 (Daytona, Fla.); Indy 500 (Indianapolis, Ind.); Kentucky Derby (Louisville, Ky.); Laconia Motorcycle Week (Laconia, N.H.); Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest (Memphis, Tenn.); San Fermin in Nueva Orleans (New Orleans); Scarborough Renaissance Festival (Waxahachie, Texas); Trucks Gone Wild at the Redneck Yacht Club (Punta Gorda, Fla.).

In the premiere episode at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, Richman travels to Daytona, FL to join 200,000 passionate NASCAR fans in the legendary infield for the 55th running of the Daytona 500 to experience their ingenious tailgating and culinary creations first-hand. He explores some of the biggest and best RV's that Daytona has to offer, including a $550,000 luxurious motor coach and a $1 million, custom-built 53-foot converted tractor-trailer complete with full bar, full kitchen, and even an elevator. The fans generously offer Richman an assortment of incredible feasts including a slow-cooked, juicy pork butt (the pig's shoulder) along with some homemade apple pie moonshine. Along the way, Richman witnesses some great examples of fan gadgetry, and he even gets to ride on one super fan's motorized cooler!

In the second episode premiering at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT, Richman heads to the Redneck Yacht Club in Punta Gorda, FL to experience how fans celebrate their passion for the off-road motorsport called "mudding." In operation since 2008, the Redneck Yacht Club holds as many as six marquee events a year. Mud wrestling, belly flops, 11-layer BBQ parfait called "Love In a Cup," and insane, monstrous homemade mud-mobiles are just some of the crazy traditions Richman explores at the 2013 Trucks Gone Wild event.
