ABC FAMILY ANNOUNCES THE TWO WINNERS OF ITS USER-GENERATED CAMPAIGN YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS ABOUT ME

Courtney Bailey of Arlington, TX and Moriah Dowd of Chicago, IL will each be awarded a $10,000 cash prize

The Online Initiative Asked Viewers to Submit Original Videos and Written Works of Self-Expression

Burbank, CA (August 20, 2013) - ABC Family announced the two winners of its digital campaign YOU SHOULD KNOW THIS ABOUT ME, which launched in May in conjunction with poet and youth arts advocate Azure Antoinette.

In a video posted on the ABC Family and "Switched at Birth" Facebook pages, Katie Leclerc (from ABC Family's hit drama "Switched at Birth") congratulated winners Courtney Bailey of Arlington, TX and Moriah Dowd of Chicago, IL for sharing their personal battles in a genuine and inspirational way. Courtney's poignant essay details her battle with cancer at the age of fifteen and her subsequent miraculous recovery. Moriah's thought-provoking video shares her need for perfectionism and ongoing battle with anxiety. Each girl will be awarded a $10,000 cash prize.
