Actor Cole Hauser To Go "Rogue" In Season 2 of DirecTV Original Drama

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. Aug. 20, 2013 - DirecTV announced today that film and television actor Cole Hauser (Transcendence, Olympus Has Fallen) will join Thandie Newton (The Pursuit of Happyness, Crash) for season two of its original drama ROGUE that will air in 2014 on Audience.

Hauser will portray Ethan, a former soldier who left law school to enlist in the military after 9/11. Ethan is the founder of a security consulting firm in San Francisco, which he runs with three former military buddies. This band of brothers is united by a terrible secret, a dark event that has quietly haunted them for years.

Season two of the series will continue to focus on Grace Travis (Newton) as she moves forward with her life after finally avenging her son's death in season one. Opting for a stable position, Grace has been assigned, as a handler, to an FBI task force investigating a local prostitution ring. However, when circumstances conspire against her, Grace is faced with the difficult decision to go back undercover inside the Ethan's security firm.

Actor and producer Cole Hauser's diverse career has seen him star in both blockbuster and independent films, as well as television series and movies. He will next be seen opposite Johnny Depp, Paul Bettany and Rebecca Hall in Wally Pfister's Transcendence. He recently appeared opposite Bruce Willis for a third time in the latest installment of the billion dollar feature franchise A Good Day to Die Hard and re-teamed with director Antoine Fuqua in for Olympus Has Fallen opposite Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman. He was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for his performance in Joel Schumacher's Tigerland opposite Colin Farrell and will be making his directorial debut on The Westies based off TJ English's book of the same title. Hauser is repped by IAM Management, APA and Morris Yorn.

Production of the second season of Rogue is slated to begin in September in Vancouver. ROGUE is a Canada-UK co-production from independent studio eOne and Greenroom Entertainment, produced in participation with DirecTV. The series is created by Matthew Parkhill (The Caller) who also serves as executive producer together with renowned Producer/Director Nick Hamm for Greenroom Entertainment, John Morayniss and Michael Rosenberg for eOne.

eOne handles the worldwide rights to the series in all media.
